This app is amazing! I had developed insomnia during a period where my child was being bullied. I didn’t sleep for a week and this led to ongoing sleep anxiety, even after the bullying situation resolved. I tried CBTi initially and whilst I saw some improvements (and I do think sleep restriction was useful), I felt that progress halted and I was developing anxiety about the many rules the course imposes. The Sleep School programme is all about accepting one’s insomnia and all the discomfort that comes with it, leading to a reduction in anxiety about sleep, freeing one up to be relaxed enough to sleep. The course is so well written, looks good and is so informative, supportive and nurturing. Dr Meadows is such a calming presence (the mediations are so relaxing and peaceful) and throughout the course, I learnt not only how to sleep better again but it has also changed my whole experience with anxiety - I feel so much freer. I still have a little way to go until I can stop thinking about sleep during the day but the sleep dread has largely gone and typically I fall asleep within 20 minutes :-) Thank you Sleep School and Dr Meadows!
I suddenly suffered from a bout of insomnia after being a good sleeper all my life. The experience of not sleeping (or only getting 2-3 hours a night) was very jarring and caused a high level of sleep anxiety. This app was transformative. It gave short, daily sessions to help me understand that my insomnia is not a condition, but instead the result of a condition (anxiety) and gave me the tools to manage the anxiety which - over time - resulted in improved sleep. I would recommend this app to anyone suffering from poor sleep duration or quality. It's quite expensive but the best investment I've made for a long time. My only advice - couple these materials with sleep restriction therapy and don't expect progress to be linear. I had some bumps throughout the course but trust in the materials and be consistent with your learning and practices.
Beautifully crafted app which does a wonderful job of sharing the ACT approach to insomnia. Life has been incredibly stressful for me the last few years, fighting advanced cancer and other conditions including chronic pain. Sleep has been a challenge very often. At last I’m hopeful I can help normalise my sleep and leverage my energy for healing. I love the ACT approach and find it one of the best innovations or evolutions to happen in psychology the past 50 years. I’m so grateful to this app and its makers for making it accessible and easy to grasp. There is hope at last! Love the bitesize nature of each module and found it accessible and enjoyable.
I’ve really benefitted from this course. Insomnia not totally gone, but better and not spoiling my life like it was. I want continued support from the course, a transcript I can keep fro reference.

Day 9 and already my sleep is improving (having also read the book). Easy to follow course only 5 mins info and 10 mins meditation a day.
My sleep has kind of mellowed working through some of The Sleep School courses. I am accepting stress or anxiety more easily and find I’m much more relaxed and sleeping longer and more comfortably - as I did before sleeplessness started to take a strong hold. Highly recommended 😇
I’ve suffered from insomnia for 30+ years, and the approach in this app is the most helpful thing I have ever tried. Acceptance and Commitment therapy is well known and scientifically proven. The Sleep school app developed by Dr Guy Meadows offers a course with user-friendly tools which use ACT to help people with insomnia. There is also other support available through the app, such as free online Q & A sessions with Dr Guy. I am very glad I found this app.
I have been struggling with really bad insomnia for the past two years. As others, I’ve tried everything, but The Sleep School and the ACT attitude is the first thing that ever really got me out of the black hole. It provides such a refreshing way of looking at insomnia and takes away so much of the anxiety and worry! And now I sleep 7 hours almost every night. I definitely recommend it to other insomniacs!!!!!! Thank you, Sleep School!
