SMA Energy

The old sunny boy app was much more helpful in giving me status of the system. All I can really do now is see what I generated for the day, week, month and year. Half the time I get on the system says no data available now try again later.

Not sure what’s going on, but I only see dashboard and settings in the bottom tab. No “e-mobility”, “loads”, and “more energy” categories displayed in my app. Trying to reach support is a PITA so I’m writing this review instead. The app is so basic it hurts!

The original app was so much better with lots of data information. This “ update” app just gives you very basic information. I don’t like it. If you look at the other SMA apps they are all rated poorly. SMA obviously cares about good quality products but isn’t concerned with customers user experience once they purchase a SMA product.

This app is great for keeping track of my sunny boy. Unfortunately I get kicked out of the app multiple times a day making the widget not work on my Home Screen

After Update, new app is lot better and is also user friendly

App does nothing but give a graphical view of energy produced. NOTHING shown in its review on Apple works. It is very slow or does not load at all much of the time. There has to be some developer who would provide useable data for those of us who bought SMA devices. I will continue to provide a review every day of this application until it actually works

The platform is easy to navigate and fits my needs perfectly. I find it valuable to see how much my modules are producing, how much energy is being stored or used from my battery, and how much is being pulled from the grid. The 3 day forecast is also great! I’m able to see how much energy will be produced for the next three days. I also like the quick history snapshots of what my system has produced or consumed. If this is just the beginning for the app, I can’t wait to see their next app developments. As a homeowner, this app fits my needs.

you to “ Page not found”. useless app.

Just had my PV system go online yesterday. I am considering the SolarCoin option. It would be great to be able to monitor that on the app like on the web version dashboard.

I was very positive about the app, but a few weeks ago is stopped suddenly with showing real time data. The installer checked everything and the installation is ok but said the problem is with SMA. Software issues probably. We have to wait till SMA fixes the issues For now it's worthless and hope it changes soon.
