Yeah free but…

Gughigno on

Australia

Sure it’s free and uses the best engine, however doesn’t let you move on the board all the pieces from both sides

Small fish

Great Chess app

Billxv on

As a relatively new chess player, I find SmallFish very helpful to help improve my chess.

For once an app I actually like

KarateKid430 on

But I am a little suspicious, with some hints, and sometimes ignoring the hints, I beat Stockfish the first time, easily. Maybe it’s a greatly weakened version of the engine. I am NOT a good player.

Crashes

Australian maxwell on

Australia

I was just having fun cheating in a round by placing a lot of rooks but all of a sudden it crashed! I try to go back into the app but it just crashes again.

Quality app

Zed Leprechaun on

Australia

It’s free. It has a powerful chess engine and it provides tips. You can also choose which colour to play as well as using undos if you make a mistake. Best of all, it doesn’t invade your privacy. What’s not to like?

Awesome app

Very helpful in checking my games👍
