SolarEdge Inverter SetApp

One of the worst service providers and companies I have ever had the displeasure of being associated with; nothing works!! While energy costs are going through the roof my system has failed since July 2022 ZERO production because of Solaredge Wi-Fi connectivity issues; I feel a Class Action lawsuit coming on!!

After spending the best part of three hours trying every off and in again combination I still can’t get past the red bar of death on the “processing” screen. Not sure what it’s processing, but it’s certainly not a good time. I can’t believe the reviews here are up to 4yrs old and the problem remains. I agree that it’s a real deterrent to recommending this product to a customer.

Every single person working on this app (product, design and tech - especially) should be ashamed of releasing such a piece of cr ap. Absolutely no error messages letting you know where the problem is when trying to connect to WiFi. It just doesn’t let you past the password screen and you have no idea why it doesn’t want to connect. Bunch of amateurs.

Takes longer to set up wifi than the whole solar installation. Worst design. Trying to be fancy but please, change this rubbish.

this app is similar to banging your head against the wall for a hour and a half, only more painful. why did they take away the led screen?? useless app that adds hours onto install time. fix it or get rid of it. really makes me avoid selling solaredge to customers

This app is rubbish - setup time on an inverter with a screen 5 mins, setup time with this, when it works, anywhere up to an hour. Today I gave up after an hour and SolarEdge support recommendation was to uninstall and then reinstall the app - just what you need at the end of a busy day. Sort it out please or bring back the screen.

Whatever the ‘processing’ bug is within this App you need to get rid of it. I have tried to connect 6 times without success even after resetting AC multiple times. Need to crawl before you walk when going down the tech path. Test test and test again. Blowing out installation times is costly by-product.

This app is only for SolarEdge installers who use it to commission the newly installed SolarEdge inverter. As the homeowner, I also need access to this app or a cut down homeowner version in order to rejoin the SolarEdge inverter to my home network when I change over routers, rename the wifi network, change the password, carry out any one of a multitude of maintenance issues on my home network. Solaredge haven't thought through the issues from the point of view of the homeowner. Last but not least, the installers had endless problems trying to commission the SolarEdge inverter using SetApp. The removal of the SolarEdge LED panel is a disaster from the point of view both of the installers AND the homeowner.

Great when it works, the problem is half the time it doesn’t. FIX THE APP SOLAREDGE! we are wasting hours on installs because of this glitchy app! This app is seriously turning me off the whole Solaredge product. Setup with the old display would have taken 10 minutes, now with the new and improved app it can take 2 hours!
