Love it, could be better
Absolutely love this app. I use it to remote start recording on my MixPre-3 and monitor levels. I would absolutely love to be able to do some basic level control using the iPhone as well as change certain settings on the recorder. If it had those two features it would be perfect.
Takes list improvements.
The only things I'd like to see in the app are: 1. In the "Take List" tab, when recording, the take you are on should be highlighted RED. 2. Spell check integrated into the Notes section, It'll come in handy when quickly jotting down notes. Otherwise it's great.
Invaluable, and inconsistent
This app provides the most useful and valuable metadata features for the sound devices recorder - an awesome service - but is rife with spotty connectivity issues. I lose Bluetooth connection constantly, sometimes 2-3 times during a 2 minute take. Using latest firmware and iPhone 6s Plus with current iOS and wingman versions. This app needs a secure connectivity option and stronger coding to ensure strong connection throughout.
App doesn’t even open
The app just crashes and doesn’t open or work at all.
Doesn’t open anymore
Ever since the last iOS update, it now crashes upon opening. It just doesn’t work anymore.
great till it stopped working
5-4-23 worked as intended until today. Not sure if it’s incompatible with a system update or what? The app will not stay open. It instantly closes itself. If I turn off Bluetooth the app will open but once it’s on the app closes. Please help!
This app is essential. But needs work.
I use the app every time I use my SD mixer, but I would love a refresh on the UI and some added functionality. It’d be nice to have more features with naming/metadata. As well as more remote mixer control options from the app.
Buggy, No Updates = SoundDevices Can’t Be Bothered
There are so many ways this app could have been updated and improved since its release, such as allowing more characters for file and track description, and to fix the LARGE BUG where the MixPre does not display the same file name as the app. No updates and improvements in such a long time means that SoundDevices has completely dropped the ball on this one, and that’s a shame.
App is crashing with new IOS?
Love this app and use it all the time. Unfortunately I can’t access it. It keeps crashing and exiting out whenever I try and open it. It might need an update. Please help
