The app just crashes and doesn’t open or work at all.

Ever since the last iOS update, it now crashes upon opening. It just doesn’t work anymore.

5-4-23 worked as intended until today. Not sure if it’s incompatible with a system update or what? The app will not stay open. It instantly closes itself. If I turn off Bluetooth the app will open but once it’s on the app closes. Please help!

I use the app every time I use my SD mixer, but I would love a refresh on the UI and some added functionality. It’d be nice to have more features with naming/metadata. As well as more remote mixer control options from the app.

There are so many ways this app could have been updated and improved since its release, such as allowing more characters for file and track description, and to fix the LARGE BUG where the MixPre does not display the same file name as the app. No updates and improvements in such a long time means that SoundDevices has completely dropped the ball on this one, and that’s a shame.

Love this app and use it all the time. Unfortunately I can’t access it. It keeps crashing and exiting out whenever I try and open it. It might need an update. Please help

It's been over a year since the app as gotten an update while the new stuff for the 8 series gets updates. Still have issue where the app launches and when I try to input notes on past takes it backs me out of the app or when in I type I can't see my sentence after 3 words making me guess. If you aren't going to update this app like the 6 series now then just tell us and let 3rd party handle the app or make a new one.

The app has a great integration however don’t ever change names while rolling. This caused me to overwrite a 4gb file that was not possible to retrieve. If you download it please make sure you don’t enter the den of stress I went through because of this app. I keep using the app everyday but I respect the fact that the app is way limited to make any changes while speeding, hopefully they have a new update soon fixing such a huge problem. I hope this info helps my fellow mixers, thank god I always have a quad recording system as a backup, but the SD and CF cards on the 688 did not have the file I was looking for even after going through several data retrieving softwares. First time in 15 years something like this happened to me. Who would have thought the glitch would come from the app and the recorder in conjunction. Maybe technology needs a bit more of research before making it available to the world.

I will love to attach pictures on the notes, that will be really convenient when recording ambient or roomtones. Editable Q points on a viewable timeline like marks on protools. Differentiate a bit more NEXT TAKE (even though is at the top), maybe put it bigger than the other takes.
