Very helpful!
I bought spanish books from the store and found the app very useful! I can take pictures of the pages in the book and it translates immediately! I then proceed to add verbs, nouns, and other words I don't know, to a list on the app! Thank you so much for this app!
My favorite app!
It doesn’t need Internet connection. I can use it wherever and whenever I need it. Multiple meanings of a word along with examples are provided too.
Spanish Dictionary
A very easy to navigate and useful tool for learning Spanish. Translates words from English to Spanish and Spanish to English.
It WAS amazing, but now it freezes constantly
I’m not sure what update happened in recent years (or didn’t happen for that matter), but this app constantly lags and freezes, it’s very buggy. Which is a shame because it’s amazing and has so much information on context for terminology, conjugations, pronunciation, it has everything! It’s always been my favorite app for Spanish/English translations.
Muy practico
Such a handy tool for picking up new words in Spanish. Gracias!
Nearly fluent with the help of SpanishDict
I’ve been gradually learning to speak Spanish; I started out years ago, reading children’s books in Spanish from the library, and using those old Pocket English/Sapnish dictionaries (1 in the house, and 1 in the car).
Using SpanishDict has made things SO MUCH EASIER, since I have the translation of words immediately available, I can see the tenses of a verb and hear them spoken, and I can see examples of sentences using the words. The last 2 factors have kept me from making 10 zillion errors.
I often type entire paragraphs in Spanish into the search box, to see if I’ve gotten the sentence right. THEN, if I was correct, I’ll type the English translation I’ve been given BACK into the search box. That’s so I can see how a native Spanish speaker would have said that sentence.
Often I find that in MY Spanish version of the sentence, there’s a “le” or a “se” missing, and I’ll just memorize the sentence that SpanishDict has given me (if I feel it’s a grammar issue).
I just started using the verb drills, and that’s really helped with my memorization of verb conjugations, especially the irregular ones. Lol — I’m HIGHLY annoyed when I get it wrong (because I’m pretty good at it, usually), but it’s super helpful. So is the vocabulary quiz. And the quizzes have the added bonus of letting me hear how the words (and sometimes an entire sentence) are pronounced.
I can read at an adult level now, but sometimes when I read, words randomly get pronounced incorrectly IN MY HEAD. Hearing the words spoken in the SpanishDictionary app erases that incorrect pronunciation without me even consciously realizing I had gotten it wrong.
I love this app. Truly.
Well Worth the Cost
This app offers a lot for a little money. I find it indispensable in my efforts to improve my Spanish. I use it every day, not only to create and organize vocabulary lists, but also to make use of the many usage and grammar activities. Seriously, I use it every day and it has helped me develop my skills enormously.
Thankyou
I really have benefited so much using this app. I’m grateful for the many examples showing different scenarios that a word could be used in. My big concern is however that too many of these examples are obviously AI generated and you can plainly see that they don’t fit in with the other examples.
A great app for learning Spanish
I am learning Spanish in high school and I use SpanishDictionary.com all the time. It’s really helpful because it tells you all the translations of a word and conjugations. It also gives examples of the word in a sentence. And you can also compare different words by typing “vs” between the words! It’s a really helpful resource and also has fun and interesting articles about Spanish language and culture. I use the free version and I’m really grateful to use this app/website.
