Very useful App when trying to learn the language
Spanish Dict is my go to app for translations. They seem more accurate and appropriate than others. Where other apps give you words that leave Spanish speakers shaking their heads Spanish Dict always nails it.
Teaches her new words she may not know 👍💕🩷🩷🩷
It bugs my phone out everytime I use it
I love the variety of content, and that I can choose the area that I want to work on. Other apps force you down some route which is not enjoyable. The spaced repetition learning is very effective, I am making great progress. I’m now into my third year on the pro subscription.
I really like the fact that the definitions state if it’s from Spain or from a South American country, other programmes don’t distinguish between the two which can be problematic.
Vocal pronunciation in Spanish Spain and South American helps for me. No pressure a lovely way to learn. Go as deep as you wish as quick as you wish. Impressed. I live in Letchworth UK so view is from an English observation I personally love it John H
Fantastic app. I finally reached an advanced level of Spanish after years. This app has greatly helped with my vocabulary. It’s one tool among many for language learning. It complements your main learning method. You can memorise words but need context to use them correctly. Using this app helps you pick up words and their usage in real-life contexts faster. I’ve used its vocab lists (beginner, intermediate, advanced) featuring common words. Many appear in real-life situations. It’s one of the best apps, but don’t expect proficiency from any app alone. It’s a great stepping stone. The app faces criticism for its word accuracy. It’s not ideal for creating personal flashcards due to limited, sometimes inaccurate, word selections. You can’t customise definitions, which is a flaw. You should be able to adjust meanings based on your learning. This limitation aims to prevent false meanings. However, pre-made decks by users often have mistakes from improper Spanish knowledge and reliance on Google Translate. The app’s vocab lists can be inconsistent, mixing Spanish from Spain and Latin America. Allowing user region dialect preferences would help. The app has improved over the years (2021-2024). With changes, it could overcome its negative reputation. Despite flaws, it’s a fast way to memorise vocab. It uses Apple speech recognition with excellent pronunciation. It has a very intelligent algorithm to really optimise the brain and its ability to recall. I love also how if you get a word right first time then it won’t come back to it or make you repeat it anytime soon, it knows which words you get wrong and has you learn those inside out. The flashcards engage you quickly, improving your accent and keeping learning fun
Hi be careful with this app if you go for the 7 day free trial. I don’t know what happened but I wanted to have a look at the trial and somehow ended up paying the £59.99. I tried straight away to cancel but there was no where to cancel, other than cancel the subscription for next year. I tried to find some customer services to help me but I couldn’t find any. I have also emailed back on the email they send you but again no response. No very happy at all.
I find this app useful while learning Spanish, however I’ve noticed it uses South American Spanish as opposed to original Spanish, which I would much rather. It would be good to have the option to switch between versions somewhere in configuration. Also, I’ve noticed that on iPad I can do vocabulary using voice, but in iPhone this feature is not available and I have to type my answers instead - is there a plan to add it to mobile handsets too? All in all very good app.
