No offline capability
This used to be my go to app for info when I travelled.
However, they changed it to an online online app. Basically a web site.
I want an off line app with info and maps when I travel. I often don’t have cell data when I travel and want off line info so I can research when on planes and preferably less cryptic Info.
If it’s no longer off line, I’ll just google the info for the city.
Please bring back offline data, maps please. Otherwise I will cancel my long running subscription. Thanks.
Rip off
You must pay for everything in order to see locations, events etc. It's useless unless you're willing to pay.
Generally good app version of the very trusty guide
I searched "London, United Kingdom", and it seems to have the same content (or better) than the guide book. The local search worked fine too. I have found that even if info has changed, it gets you to the right part of town. One very annoying feature: the auto-renewal on the subscription fee. There are no options to set it up without auto-renewal. It took me half an hour to figure out how to turn it off: you have to load iTunes on your PC, go to "Store", "iTunes Store", Settings, Subscriptions, Manage. Then click the tiny right-arrow, which takes you to a menu where you can turn the auto-renew off.
So far so good
Bit tricky to get demo working but the app has potential.
