Audio input may be acquired via the built-in microphone or an external measurement microphone. For best results we recommend using a calibrated measurement microphone connected via USB audio interface or iPhone dock connector. This allows for high precision and flat frequency response, as well as for stereo input.

Spectrum Analyzer RTA Reviews
Wow, just wow. Doesn’t just work, it shines
Full features and very responsive Octave RTA, which accepts both uncalibrated and calibrated microphones like iDSP ones.
Has a full FFT plot as well.
Spectrograph is really useful to identify sources of that annoying pitch you can hear among all the noise.
Perfectly fluent user interface, simple yet fully functional. No delays, no glitches, the spectrum just comes alive on the screen. I can not describe how fluid the user interface feels - you just have to try. This is truly impressive!
Check out their web site for a neat tutorial on how to EQ a room!
Easy to use
Great app, also accepts calibrated microphones and their cal files.
Works Great
Simple but effective RTA app.
How to upload mic cal file?
I can’t upload anything in the mic section. How do you upload a file when it doesn’t let you? I click on it and it just exits out of the mic screen. Please fix.
Visually beautiful, and exactly what I expected technically
Bought this to measure a high-frequency hum which disappeared when I bought the app. So thanks for that. Seriously, though, a very nice UI wrapper around the FFT.
Best RTA on the App Store, PLEASE UPDATE!
i’m very pleased by this Spectrum Analyzer; it is the only one that I’ve found that can run at full speed on an iPad Air 2! A+
To the devs; if you’re still updating this app, i’d appreciate a way to select other inputs on audio interfaces; I’d love the ability to monitor what’s coming into inputs 3+4.
Absolute perfection
I have used this app for many many years and made lots of money fixing sound issues. Also, the Spectrograph at max sensitivity can find any power whine to help regain your sanity. 10/10
Cool App!
Love this app, and the customer service is top notch 👍
New App
Faber tried to rip me off by bricking my app with IOS 13 I refused to buy into their greed and purchased this app glad IO did it works really well
Good App
Fast and Easy
Simple instructions, easy to use on my iPhone 6. Just make sure the mic port is not obstructed...or better yet, buy a Dayton Audio iMM-6 ref. mic from Amazon $15 becaus it has better low end response
