Still the best
If you want to check the speed of your connection, Speedtest is the one to use. This has been true for years!
I thought it was great until….
I thought this was a great app, until I noticed it used 1.3GB of data every time I used it! I wasn’t even thinking of it being a potential data hog until my service became spotty, and I checked it with Speedtest. Then I started getting messages that I had blown through my allotted 27GB seven days before my plan rolled over. I had been trying to contact my SP, which was impossible, I had to buy an extra 3GB for $20. It appeared I had burned through 10GB in 2 days, I thought I was hacked or something. I was on wifi the next day, and I checked my data to see if it was still at 3GB as I hadn’t used it since the purchase…it was down to 1GB, I freaked but then noticed Speedtest was at the top of the usage at 1.3GB. I had used it once to make sure my extra purchase went through. That’s the last time I’ll be using Speedtest.

Best app of this kind
I was pleasantly surprised by this very comprehensive app. In addition to testing internet speed, it measures latency and provides a lot of other useful information in a straightforward way. It can test screen display capacity and offers graphs to report issues with various apps and games. Overall, it’s very complete, intuitive, well-explained, and works perfectly!
Used to Work
Now it tries to open and crashes within seconds. Can’t even hard quit the app because it doesn’t even show up as open.
Slow
Even though my LTE is working fine and eventually shows high speed, the app many times takes forever to "connect". Useless.
No Mo/s
What is the use of getting mbps speed if nothing is measured this way.
