I’ve used SplashID since it was an app on the Palm Pilot. It was never fast, elegant, or up-to-date but if you were patient and didn’t push its capabilities you could make it work. No more: the version 9 upgrade is the worst software I’ve ever used — and there is no close second. It won’t sync and “customer support” is literally one person who trolls you with canned answers (imagine if the boss from “The Office” left the copy paper business and became a customer support agent and you’ll have some idea). I didn’t think it could possibly be as bad as the other reviewers said but I was wrong — it’s worse. Stay as far away from this product as you can.
8 had better screen
Not very happy with Pro 9 : My wife and I don’t like the new list of items compared to version 8 (way less items shown on each screen. Also don’t like the sliding alphabet scale on the right. Again 8 was better. Also took awhile to figure out which icon was for edit. 8 used the word Edit
Poor Support
I’ve used SplashID since before there even was an iPhone. I still use it today because it has great flexibility to securely store all kinds of confidential info.
Over the years, I’ve had a few tech problems and they have always been responsive and solved them.
Now they have ghosted me over a problem that started with the last update. At the same time I am getting several sales emails each week promoting gifting the app. Seriously poor way to run a company
Huge disappointment
Update 12-19-24: Latest update (9.3.11) trashed ALL custom icons again. The app freezes on my iPad. iPad iOS 18.2. It's been over a year since SplashID 9 was released and they still can't fix it. I'm disappointed and disgusted with this developer. Hey Morgan with SplahID, please fix this mess!
Update 11-26-24: Latest update (9.3.10) trashed ALL of my custom icons which took a long time to create. Now I will have to spend hours editing every record to restore my icons. Do the developers even test an update before they release it?

Like some other reviewers, I have been using SplashID for a very long time (Palm Pilot days). This is the first time I’ve had serious problems with their product. I prefer to WiFi sync and this app (latest version 9.3.0 and previous version) will not sync between my Windows computer and my iPhone or iPad (I have it installed on all 3 of these devices). Support at Splashdata seems to be a one man operation. I’ve been waiting more than 2 weeks to get resolution to this problem. I read on some other reviews that support helped them to fix WiFi sync, but no such luck for me. Perhaps their desktops are Macs. I am super disappointed in this company after many years of a good business relationship. I’m very close to moving on to a different password management platform and suggest that if you are seriously looking at using this app, look elsewhere.

SplashID Pro was one of the best password management systems I've ever used.
SplashID Pro9 offered a limited time free upgrade offer-but then you are then offered a limited use (free/paid) application. If you want to use SplashID Pro 9 (as you did in SpashId Pro 8) your going to pay $2.99 USD monthly.
This is the way software is "improved" by paying a subscription fee each month.
A free upgrade to the new subscripton service? Real product developement is based on subscription based models.
I would avoid SplashId Pro 9, many other non subscription based (local storage) ones available.
Terrible tech-support!
Splash ID has the worst tech support of anything I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been using splash ID for years and recently upgraded to SplashID Pro 9 and had a problem recently that a tech-support agent has been unable to resolve for the past 3 weeks and does not provide any comprehensive information to solve my problem. I lost approximately 500 records due to their tech-support lack of support. He emails me a single step each night (maybe) but does not provide any helpful useful tech support to resolve the issue. This on top of the fact that there’s no phone number to call and there only seems to be one tech-support person working at this entire company is going to make me switch to a different password app.
iPad M4 support total hot-mess
Trying to share records with my wife’s account and there is absolutely NO correlation of screens to the web instructions to set up the requested abilities. Also FORGET trying to submit an email support request…just will never SUBMIT. We have been with company for years and this upgrade has proven to be a total hot-mess…cart is running way ahead of the horses.
New version is a bust! Do not buy it. (Lifetime Subscription)
Updated to Splash Pro 9. After multiple email conversations with support and following all of their suggestions to the letter, it still will not WiFi sync. I would only be able to use it on the desktop. Find another solution.

The new version has potential
There are a couple of issues with V9 that will be addressed with updates, I’m sure. I’ve been using the software for a long time and haven’t had any issues. I will continue to use it.
