Man the ads on this app are the absolute worst and if it wasn’t for the literally hundreds of thousands of interesting player-created quizzes, I’d tell you to leave immediately. But don’t worry! This game also offers an overpriced subscription to remove ads!
The new app is terrible. Too many ads. Half the quizzes with pictures don’t load properly and/or don’t fit to screen, so you can see all the clues. I used love playing quizzes for hours, now I’m lucky if I get through one without getting fed up that it’s not working properly. Bring back the old app.

New app is terrible. Takes ages, way too many ads. Just obliterated the user experience. Extremely disappointing that there’s no backward compatibility so you can’t use the old app either. I only found out there was a new one because the old app wouldn’t load. Way to alienate your loyal userbase, Sporcle.
Such a shame the app is so bad, as the website is good. Only actually works half the time, if that.
I used to love Sporcle. I had to download this version but it’s hopeless. Just terrible. What a disappointment. Just did a picture quiz but most of the pictures were not visible.
Too many ads to be enjoyable
The sporcle website is great and the app does a decent job of making it accessible on the phone. However not all quizzes work well on mobile. The main thing I’ve noticed is that the interface for grid puzzles (e.g. crossword puzzles) will cut off clues after a certain length and there doesn’t seem to be a way to display the cutoff text
I obsessed with this app. I love to do quiz’s and puzzles, and I love to just play some music and play Taylor swift, geography, and Harry Potter quizs
I enjoy the quizzes but the ads are unbearable, you get one before every quiz you start and immediately after it’s over. Just play on safari, there won’t be ads on there.
