Change it to what it used to be

Bring back the recording feature

HephytheMoon on

United States

Remove the recording and editing feature was a nasty move if you ask me…you basically pulled out the one thing that made most of us want to use the app. Had to put my recording on a hold because I’m finding it difficult navigating other podcast apps or other ways to record. It’s really unfair to your users…almost like you don’t want us creating with your app anymore.

Bring back recording in app

I’ve started a lot of podcasts on this and really enjoyed the recording and editing in app feature but now that I’ve decided to start a new podcast (and hopefully have it for more than a month) it’s really difficult to record

Meh

girl this is so stupid how do I ever find all my nostalgic drafts of gloomy star podcast I literally had so many and now it’s all gone. I’m paying to have my podcast on a platform that doesn’t even have recording tools NO THANKS 👎👎👎👎

Good but bad updates

Lan Yan <3 on

I still like this app. It's very helpful but... The entire appeal of it is gone. You used to be able to record, edit, and upload all in one place. Now you have to record and edit somewhere else. I really miss it. I also don't like how you have to go to the website to upload a video. I will give credit where credit it due though. It used to be unavailable to upload videos from your phone and now you can. But I still wish you could just upload a video from the app. Also you have to use the website to adjust your description? That's so dumb. Other than these problems I still recommend this app to get your podcast up.

Spotify why..? Please help me :(

Ruma <3 on

At first I made a podcast (Relax with Ruma) it got so popular which I loved but it got reported by ONE person and they immediately took it down! All of my fans said I did nothing wrong and I agree with them because I didn’t violate any guidelines for creators.. you guys didn’t even try to bring it back or explain why if was taken down customer service didn’t help either I literally talked to a AI BOT that has limited responses and information which also didn’t help at all.. give me back my podcast please.. I made a new one but this still isn’t fair.. I never violated any guidelines but when other people make stuff abt unaliving themselves it’s fine..? Seriously? Spotify please help bc other than this massive issue I love the app.

Disappointed with Spotify’s Update – Bring Back the Old Anchor!

Wanij3 on

United States

I used to love Anchor because it was an all-in-one platform that made podcasting so easy and fun. You could record, add intros, background music, and sound effects all within the app. It was perfect for beginners and creators who didn’t want to mess around with complicated tools. Now, ever since Spotify took over, the app has only gotten worse. The latest update removed the in-app recording feature entirely! Why take away the most convenient part of the platform? It’s frustrating that I now have to use other apps just to do what Anchor originally offered seamlessly. Anchor stood out because it was simple, intuitive, and made podcasting accessible for everyone. Spotify’s updates are ruining the app, turning it into a frustrating experience instead of the effortless tool it used to be. Spotify, please bring back the old Anchor features—your users deserve better!
