I find this very effective for transcribing guitar music. Much of the man-machine interface is obvious or can be discovered by experimentation. Occasionally, I accidentally press something which leads me to loose my work. However, on the whole, very good. Particularly for working out tab chord voicings in open tunings.
Super program, super service
I tried various programs on my Mac - now I only use an iPad. This program is as simple as it can be with so many options pretty much needed if you write or copy music. Like anything there is a learning curve - personally I keep a note of sequences of keys that get me to certain things (like how to turn off the visibility of the Staves so I can just print off a tab version only).
It would be perfect for me if the tab track could show note length.
Fantastic work, who/where ever you guys are!
Fantastic
This app is absolutely amazing. I love the piano input and all the different complex notation tools available. I have all three IAPs and I definitely think they are worth the tiny expense. I have never managed to find a mobile musical composition software that even does half the stuff the free version of this does. My only issue is that the playback can occasionally be a bit buggy, eg. not playing a specific note in the piece every time you play it. But aside from that, I don’t see how anyone could ever go wrong downloading this, or regret buying the premium versions!! Thanks SnT!!!
Bad
It is so bad it only lets you get certain instruments if you want all the instruments you have to pay about £2
DONT DOWNLOAD
This app has been ruined.
This used to a great app, when I got it about three years ago.
Firstly, (a few years ago) the developers 'updated' the sound library to become 'more realistic', when in fact it used to sound great, but now everything sounds like a muffled, dead tin can. Now I’ll never be able to listen to my compositions how they used to sound every again.
Furthermore, I had created about 15-20 pieces of music, all of which have now been locked so I cannot access them without paying, even though I have already spent money on this app, and I used to be able to access, edit and export them.
I am extremely disappointed in this app, as it used to be pretty decent frankly, and if there was some way to install an older version of the app I would be very grateful if the developers could somehow enable this.
At the end of the day, all I wish is to be able to edit and listen to my compositions which I created before all these awful updates, as I find it quite disingenuous and disloyal to their customer, for the developers to randomly lock all of your own content without notice.
If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it!
Awful
App is unusable as it does not work, at all. It doesn’t tell you how to actually input notes into the score. Do not download it, completely useless
Just as good as premium apps
it inputs standard notation and outputs tab - and vice versa
What more do you want
Excellent app for free
I like it!
A handy app for entering tab when I'm away from my main PC software. After about 30 mins I got the hang of note entry and editing & now I quite like it.
On my wish list would be:
Ability to put text (e.g. Chord names or even symbols) above each bar.
Ability to enter hammer-On's & Pull-Off's.
Looking forward to more developments!
Poor
This app looks good although, it is difficult use and is based from poor musical knowledge. For example apparently there is a key called H4. There are much better apps for free.
