The SteakMate app is designed to help you cook the perfect steak – no matter how you like it. SteakMate is your best friend when barbecuing or pan-frying Beef steaks. It ensures you have a great eating experience every time and takes the guess work out of cooking Beef steaks.

SteakMate is easy to use, simply enter the Beef steak you are cooking, the cooking method you are using, the doneness you are after and the thickness of your steak and SteakMate will tell you exactly how to cook it – with handy prompts of when to turn your steak and when it has finished cooking and needs to rest.

Cooking for more than one? SteakMate has that covered with its queuing functionality, allowing you to add as many people to the queue so that everyone gets their steak cooked the way they like it. Got a favourite steak you like to cook? Why not add it to favourites list in SteakMate so that you are only ever one step away from cooking the perfect steak.

Not sure about what steaks to barbecue or pan-fry? SteakMate gives you a list of all the Beef steaks recommended for cooking this way as well as information about each of them – it also includes all the alternate names for the same steak.

Gem of an app

I have been using Steak mate for years, it’s like the post service, it always delivers. I can recommend especially for tenderloins.

ugh

Can we get an American version? with inches?

Involves a little bit of trust

This app is great, but it involves a little bit of trust. Setting everything up and then following the instructions is simple, but every time I always wonder if the app is over or undercooking my steak. Of course, if I follow the instructions, the steak comes out perfect. Every time. Well done! (That’s obviously a joke, medium rare every time.)

Times are a little too long

I found the times to be a little too long. It was a well put together app and great concept, but cook times for a cast iron pan or IR grill would not yield the results you are looking for except well done. Also, as a general rule of thumb you flip your steaks as little as possible and this looks it’s calling for 3 times

never cooking steaks without this anymore. came out PERFECTLY. easy follow and has many options

Unsuitable for U.S. users

Needs a settings option for American measurement units. Also seems to ignore grill temperature.

AWESOME App

Used this app for the first time tonight and it was awesome. I followed their directions exactly and my steak was perfect. I'll never cook another steak without it again!

In love.

This app is amazing. I am excited to see future versions though. It could use cooking recommendations. Maybe an icon for cooking the steak in a skillet or on the grill. Also maybe show a tenderness scale. Also needs to add more methods. Not just gas, electric, or BBQ. It also needs more steak names/kinds. There is sirloin. It also needs top sirloin. More cut information. Great job so far.
