Players cheating

MADDOG: on

First of all, I would like to tell you that your app is awesome. It’s a great motivation to run and walk, especially in places I rarely go. I’m a paying player and I believe that the price is good for what I get in return. But, you can’t let players cheat. There’s one player, ranked number two in the world on the app right now, who just broke the world record for 165km. Come on! It’s clear that this run is not a run. We would have heard something if someone would have broke a world record. Those cheaters are not good for your app. Take care of the cheaters please.

Amazing Motivator

Love the premise of this app and the app is user friendly. Garmin to app with no problems. Would give 5 stars and subscribe if I could pay monthly instead of only being able to subscribe annually.

Wonderful, but..,

Jimmypad on

This game is awesome, a great way to give a fun incentive to walking/biking. There is one concern I have however, when you challenge someone’s territory, they get a notification in their feed. This notification includes an exact map of the route you took. This worries me a bit because in my situation, when starting my session at my home, it can easily be traced back to within 3-4 houses of me. Especially when you leave and return through the same side of the street like I have. The beginning and end of a route isn’t marked but in my situation it is very obvious where my home is. If possible, please remove this feature or make it less exact. As this game gains popularity, I really don’t want some crazy person knocking on my door threatening me over territory. I will continue using this app myself but with some precautions; (I recommend all players use this method) I now start my sessions from public parks and areas which cannot be traced back to me. For all players, please do not start your routes at your home. This can easily lead to incidents, people can be crazy sometimes.

Great fun! You will get motivated!

I am having a blast with this app. I am still using the free version, but have considered upgrading to pro. I have let some of my friends know about it as well so hopefully it catches on. There isn’t much competition in my city, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring. A lot of the territory is “unmapped” so there is still plenty to capture! I really hope that it catches on, but I am definitely happy with my current “territory holdings”. Someone else did mention integration with other fitness apps and I think that might be a great addition. Fitbit and Apple Watch is what comes to mind but I am not upset without it either. I simply track on both anyways. I am personally not a huge fan of subscription models but I will consider it if the app gets a bit bigger. I see there are some current deals and a trial so I will check that out very soon! Keep up the good work, and keep on advertising as much as possible. I found this via an ad from Instagram. One last complaint I have is broken integration with Apple and Facebook. Every time I went to sign up it would open a new webpage and then open a dialog that says “this will open in another interface” but it never did. It just white screened and I was forced to sign up with email. Not a big deal, but I could see this turning a lot of people off using the app due to “inconvenience”. Also, maybe add Google sign ins!

Apple Watch Support?

Highbrow83762849(0 on

The concept of this is amazing, easy 5 stars. For those worried about a paywall, it’s less than $2/month, that shouldn’t hold you back! Are there any plans on implementing Apple Watch support or have a way to import runs similarly to Strava? One star left to a perfect app! Thanks!

Paid app

Luke6919 on

The fact that this is a paid app is a huge miss. Advertising potential motion tracking potential.... serious drop of the ball.Great concept....Terrible execution.

Seems fun but needs a larger user base

BigO1014 on

The concept of this game gets 5 stars because it would be really fun to walk around feeing like you’re conquering your territory against other players. However right now there aren’t enough people playing. I’m going to keep playing in hopes of more people joining

Lots of bugs / NOT FREE / Terrible customer service

efghenderson on

This app has a lot of potential to be amazing but the developers are currently screwing it up. The app concept and execution is exactly what I was looking for, however here are the keys issues I’ve found in 4 days: 1. LACK OF PEOPLE: There is no people base which is key to the challenge and success to this app. It needs to be free to get the app going. 2. NOT FREE: In november the developer responded in a review they made the app free, this is false, it’s only free for 7 days but you must enter your credit card! 3. BUG - Won’t tank me: the app won’t rank me, saying I’m ranked zero even though I’m in the top 10 of my province. 4. MISSING REPORT FUNCTION: There is obvious false activities by users, like world record shattering times of km splits at 0s yet there is no report function or system to pick it up. 5. cUSTOMER SERVICE: I have reported to them and emailed the issues 3 and 4 via email and Facebook to receive no reply then there automatic reply. Overall potential to be a great app with some final terrible execution flaws. Update: 2. When I first tried it the app stayed it was a 7 day free trial. It looks like the main part of the app is now free like the developer has commented. 6. There is no way to reset your password, when the app had syncing issues I logged back in but the password wouldn’t work. I can see my account is still linked with garmin but I can only view it from an alternate account.i have sent them email about this and after 2 weeks no reply. Customer service is still very weak.

Exactly what I wanted from a hiking/running app

MaxSchellenberg on

Originally this company came out with similar app but it was to Rpg like and complicated, this is just what I wanted, a simple walk to conquer territory game. :)

Intentionally misleading

Jerricks1 on

The app is not free and ridiculously overpriced. Furthermore you have no free option only a trial that will automatically start billing you once you’ve probably forgotten you even installed the app.
