Sun Surveyor Lite takes the mystery out of the sunrise, sunset and magic hours, helping photographers and filmmakers scout the best locations, plan effectively, and get the perfect shot. Solar Industry (PV) Professionals, architects, real estate agents, and gardeners will also find a wealth of empowering, interactive features.
The 3D Compass and detailed Ephemeris provide a wealth of information about the largest natural light source in the galaxy:

- Visualize the sun's path throughout the day or through the year

Sun surveyor
I am a professional builder I really like this app as, With the option of the Equinox, simply slide through the sun options down the bottom and they come up in the view mode in the camera this is a very handy tool when plotting house orientation on a block
Love app hate spam
Love the app. Got a message that l could not delete it took my to site that implied it was an apple run site that offered a prize. Was suspicious but as it was from the App Store and looked like apple l proceeded got spammed. 30 emails and endless phone calls. 3 hours to unsubscribe
What happened?
I used to love this app for planning photo shoots. But something has changed with maps. Now I cannot move to place the target where I want. And when I try the map goes all over the place. It's hopeless. Also earlier in the year I wanted to plan my sunset and sunrise shoots in New York and it gave me the time as my local time in Australia. Completely useless. It used to give you the local time at the shoot location rather than the time of your current position. Too much tinkering with what was a really useful app. But I assume all the other features still work so I giving it 3 stars. Please return to the old version. Thanks
