SunVox

It does feel a bit cramped, but that's probably because it has a lot of features and I'm trying to use them all on an iPhone. It's really easy to move everything around to make it fit.

I am brand new to the tracker workflow and looked around for some iOS apps in this realm and sunVox is far superior… I expected a basic amiga style tracker and this is pretty much a full-fledged portable DAW… I was already a fan of Alex’s other apps…. I am assuming this only went under my radar because of my previous lack of tracker knowledge… this app is a lot to unpack but just after a few minutes I have been able to get some really powerful sounds out of it… and the price is spectacular… I feel most iOS apps of this caliber in 2023 will cost at least $10-20…

The program seems intimidating at first, but once you learn it offered insanely deep options for sound design and audio processing. It’s also insane that this app is cross platform across devices, so you can work on your projects on whatever platform you’re in the mood for, which is crazy nice.

This is a fantastic app. The best tracker app, by far. My big wish is to have large navigation buttons on the iPad, like the dirty wave M8, with more of a fixed screen view with just the tracker and the larger navigation buttons. I want to be able to rapidly navigate through the tracker to add or modify notes and dynamics. Bottom line: Make it really easy to rapidly navigate through my track columns. Thanks for your great work and constant updates. You’ve created something special.

Love the app! Have been using it for many years if not decades. It very powerful, deep and stable modular style music making environment with the ability to create a variety of complex sounds. Ability to export stems is great to fine tune the sound in a daw if needed. On top of that it’s available on Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, iOS and more - it’s great to be able to share projects between the phone and computer with full compatibility and the same UX/workflow! A tracker style app may be new to some, but it’s very efficient and quick - if not the best, it’s one of the best!

Tracker style DAW that bypasses fancy UI and graphic design. I’ve never experienced such a sense of control over an audio program, and not being tempted to reach for additional plugins brings out the best of my creativity. This thing has so many features under the hood, and the author of the program is very quick to reply to many questions and complaints. Look up how you can open Sunvox as an instrument within Sunvox 😉

If you’re beginner you’re going to get lost in this app, you’ll have to learn a lot before you even get started making stuff with this app. Get the PC version (which is free) to test it out before you buy this version, there’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube for the PC version. If you’re on an iPhone instead of an iPad, I wouldn’t recommend you buy this. The ui is not the best optimized for iPhone. Everything looks cluttered and just not designed well for a small screen.

I am a club DJ and have been using ableton for 10 years, and this is my new favorite way to make music. The modular sound design system is intuitive and simple with near endless possibilities. The tracker is a really nice way to get out of my normal composition headspace while also being easy to understand if you have a bit of patience to spend on learning it. I now have this program on every one of my devices and I am excited to pick it up and play with it in the morning. Really great!!
