This is a digital sounding synth, and it does that sound type well. However the interface is very complicated and fiddly. Not a lot of fun to make a patch from scratch even if you know synths inside out. For noobs, it’s a mess. However it has lots of presets and if anything worth scouring and favoriting a few, and possibly tweaking here and there if you can tolerate the UI.

Yes there is now a Synthmaster 2 and yes both are worth having!
WHY DONT COMPLAINTS GO TO THE DEVELOPER BY EMAIL. This is to tell people if the app is worth buying, not to threaten for new features or to get tech support. Come on think about it. If you like the app you want it to be successful so it lives on. Giving a lousy review to get something explained is ridiculous. I am saying this because I want this, and all other great apps to live forever so that I can enjoy it forever. And what about when you realize that there is no problem and that you just don't understand what midi is or anything about computers, that you don't change your review to apologize.

I’ve never bothered to write a bad review, I just don’t have the time but these guys are ridiculous!Don’t get me wrong Synth master One has some fantastic sounds but the developers claims of MPE compatibility are false and misleading so I can’t use them. Constant (daily!) Attempts at communication over an eight month period have a lead to nothing but an admission that they must’ve overlooked something in the MPE spec… No kidding. If you’re looking for channel/per note expression- PASS! BTW providing an MPE option for input won’t magically make it work if the MPE spec isn’t followed to begin with...2 yrs...just fix it! Edit- I’ve changed my rating to 5 stars because the developer has fixed all the above problems as of version 1.4.0. Took a little long but SynthMaster one is now my go to synth on iOS. EPIC!
Installed the last update. Started it, moved on. Then it was responsible of 60% of my battery usage for the last 21hrs because of “background updates”. Wasn’t even doing anything.
A great little synth.
I’ve purchased the iPad version but I now I gotta pay for the iPhone version? Or am I doing something wrong?
Simply an outstanding full featured synth with a rich palette of sounds that serious musicians need in their music production
