The app owners changed their business model and asked existing customers who purchased the app to now subscribe to what they had already purchased. Changing the model leaving previous customers behind. Arrogant business practices. I leave my original review for reference. This is an essential and flexible app for programming all kinds of custom Timings for your workouts while you get clear signals and stay in the zone listening to your own music or soundtrack! Amazing.

I purchased this app years ago and used it a ton. Went to do a different workout routine today and use the app, now they charge a subscription fee. Delete.
I use to feel guilty whenever i opened up the 'trial' version: use it so much i kept meaning to buy it, but whever i try & do anything on the Ap Store i have to change passwords for my Apple account, which then involves changing other passwords ... takes hours ... hate Apple. This ap, tho, is perfect ... get it, but don't b like me & wait 3 or 4 years before u buy: it's a gd product & deserves support.
I bought the pro version of this app years ago. Great functionality, excellent visuals, easy to use. Well worth the purchase. A year ago, the company changed to a subscription model for their app, but it didn’t seem to apply for a good long while. Then, the “Buy now” pop-ups started. One pop-up, easily dismissed and I could use the app. Now it cycles the pop-up 4 times before I can use it, happening every time I hit the start button. It’s become ridiculous. Time to look for other options and move on. Thanks for wrecking a good thing.
EDIT: I purchased the pro but I guess they weren’t happy with that and they wanted more money. Basically my pro purchase was revoked and I now need to pay a subscription if I want pro. Guess what the incentive is, an annoying pop up every time I use the app. I do wish there was some more flexibility with features. I just did a cardio run where we run 3 mins with 90s jog, 2 mins with a faster run and then another 90s jog. Lastly 1 min sprint with a 1 min fast walk. We did this twice. Tabata Pro works great but trying to remember your place when your settings are 1 min work 1 min rest is quite difficult. Lots of math lol Also the ability to use on Apple Watch but mute it, as well as hear it in headphones while listening to music would be amazing Hopefully this reaches someone, thanks!
This was an app that I had bought and used a few time a year or month depending on need. Now they want to charge a monthly subscription. They have the right to charge what they want. I have a right not to buy/pay for a subscription. So I WILL NOT. Goodbye SIMPLETOUCH LLC.
I purchased this app several years ago and use it as a simple timer. It works great or at least it did. Unfortunately this company’s business model seems to be harassment. They want me to purchase their yearly subscription so every time I push “start” their ad pops up and I have to tap “not now” and start again. Sometimes it keeps popping up and disrupts my work out. I don’t need their advanced features and can’t afford them but there seems to be no way to get rid of this constant annoyance.
This is silly- I cannot use the app without paying for the upgraded version
I bought the app years ago now they have a subscription model and I can’t use it anymore.
