Simple and efficient

The app experience and process is efficient and pleasant. Easy to track your orders and also to return any items without any fuss. Unlike other e commerce apps where the sales are easy but returning goods is not so easy.

Payment

I love this app but some payment options like PayJustNow it’s not there 😒

Need better delivery time

You would get 5 stars if it wasn’t for your delivery time. It takes too long to get what I want

COD option no longer available

For the last few months the COD payment option is not able to be selected. I don’t like to use my card due to previous online hacking and COD was my preferred payment option which is now unavailable. I have consequently not bought items from Takealot that I am used to buying on a regular basis.

Worst service

I am not happy with the service. Has been trying to buy my child a watch each time the wrong product or used product gets delivered. When trying to return for the correct product the supplier is out of stock. Really unhappy and will take further action.

Why no Apple Pay for checking out?

This app is so outdated that payment is not Apple Pay enabled

Option to change delivery not accessible at payment

Hi, Will be helpful to a easier way to update delivery details in case you need edit change the date after you reach the payment page.

Unusable

I am logged in but cannot view any items. When I tap on an item I get prompted to log in (again) and when I do I get a “response status code was unacceptable: 403”. Item info never loads.

Won’t run on older iOS versions

Nothing against Takealot, they are fantastic. But whoever wrote their iOS app should be fired, because it won’t run on older iOS versions. We can’t all afford the latest iPads. Older iPads won’t update to latest iOS version, meaning that they can’t run the Takealot app anymore. Services like Netflix, Amazon, Showmax etc all happily run on older iOS versions, so it is 100% possible. Shame on you Takealot!
