Talkspace: Virtual Therapy App

I canceled but they charged me afterwards anyway until I went into app and went truth a 5 step cancellation process again. I found it great once you found a matching therapist. My first therapist wasn’t great but second one was great. I worked through my issues and was happy to stop using the service but then they charged me €800 anyway.

They are completely unresponsive after you give them your money.

Unfortunately I would not recommend Talkspace to anyone. I really wanted to like this and to find it helpful but I did not find it helpful at all and I’m sorry to have wasted my money on it (they are good at that part) so I would encourage people to seek help elsewhere.

They will not give you an accurate price quote even though they require proof of insurance. Talkspace said they require my insurance info but “do not have access to my individual coverage” so despite getting a $0 quote for a session it ended up being a little over $138 which I only found out a month after my session. Customer support is slow to respond, they will escalate the complaint to their billing department which claim they can’t respond for 2-3 days. It seems convenient but it’s not worth your time.

They use this thing called Link for payment info which keeps throwing errors. Waste of time trying to use this app.

The site and the app just keep going back to the same screen and I am unable to move forward to my account. Shows I have successfully entered all the info, and then glitches back to the same screen over and over. Completely unusable.

With 70-100 usd charge, they are low quality therapist who are uneducated. My education is even higher than they are, judging my case and then the next 2-3 session decided to drop me off saying he couldnt carry more patients. Ew

I love my two providers that I’ve connected with over Talkspace, my reason for 3/5 stars is the clunky app causing frustrations. If you are experiencing slower WIFI or data connections, you can be logged out of the app. When going to log in, on an iPhone, there’s no way to autofill your passwords so you have to do that manually. Also, it’s difficult to flip between the app and another app like your calendar when you’re scheduling appointments, the app will kind of freeze up when you navigate back and forth between the two. Lastly, I’ve experienced extreme difficulty with the video many times.

Absolutely terrible service. Maybe they've given up and are going bankrupt or something. I cannot get support. The matched therapist never responds and never shows up, and trying to change therapists tells me there are none available. Would give 0 stars if possible.

The platform is glitchy. I keep entering my payment information and it says error has occurred.
