TeamViewer QuickSupport Reviews

Thank you

Thanks TeamViewer for making this app available for free for personal use. I’m supporting an elderly blind parent with an iPad and using apples accessibility option. It took me a while to realise I could only view my mother’s screen and not remotely control it (apple rules apparently). I would be happy to help refine you accessibility options if interested as some of the sighted features don’t work as well in VoiceOver mode which is important for blind folk. But thank you very much as this is the only app I have found that can do this on an iPad.

Useless in free version

Nickname No Nickname on

This is supposed to share your iPad screen with someone using TeamViewer. It connects fairly well but keeps cutting out after a short period of time if the viewer at the other end is using the free version. The free version is supposed to be fully functional for private use, but is clearly not. This problem makes the app useless for its purpose and a wasted a lot of time fruitlessly troubleshooting. Nice concept but one to avoid.

Confusing

dmfieoxmc on

Well when you download this it gives you a pairing Id which u need to enter on your pc, but the website they provide doesn’t have the paring page which on the app it shows there supposed to be a page showing Partner ID.

Start broadcast not working

dempson on

New Zealand

The new feature to start a broadcast from within the chat doesn’t quite work yet: it saves a screen recording to the camera roll and doesn’t offer any option to choose the app. The old method of using control centre and choosing TeamViewer is ok. iOS 12.0.1 limitation or app bug? Otherwise seems to work like version 13.

Tried this on multiple iOS devices and multiple computers. Different generic error codes about the code being expired or the system not available. Disappointing.

The devs should be required to use this app.

The devs should be required to use this app to support a hundred seniors before they let it go on the market. I had to give my senior relative in another city his first smart phone and it’s obvious this company has not tested this software on anyone new to smart phones. It seems like an obvious use case - if you struggle enough with your device that you need remote support, why would you make the remote support almost impossible to access. The steps required to get the app going every time are so unintuitive that I had to write down all seven of them. None of the steps were designed with accessibility in mind. At one point in order to click “Continue” you have to move a slider button with tiny text next to it. Also this app doesn’t let you interact with the screen from another iPhone but at least you can see what’s going on.

Scammers

There’s a comment on here about APPLE scamming people. I had this exact instance happen today. This is becoming a more common problem. He was trying to access all of my banking information and all of my transactions and had me DL 3 apps. I called the bank right after come to find it’s a scam. Apple is scamming. Don’t call apple call your bank
