The Bible with Nicky and Pippa

I’ve always struggled with regular bible reading. I can compare it to ho hard it is for me to choose clothes to wear each day. Bible reading is similar for me. This app takes away all the stress of choosing the right colour to match the right outfit. I can now enjoy quality time with God rather than think about where to start or trying to work out the deeper meaning in the passage. Niky !! thank you for your many hours of labour and dedication in producing this amazing content. You have reignited my passion for Bible reading and enabled me to grow stronger in my faith !!

I don’t get to it every day but it is really great, drawing me deeper into the Word of God, and opening my eyes to myself and the world around me. Maybe a little glitchy at the moment, the audio is maybe going at about 1.25 speed, but still can understand it and get a lot out of it every single day. Thanks for writing and sharing this great resource for free.

This is a gift to the Body of Christ. For those who may be getting into the Bible for the first time or for those devoted to quiet time with the LORD. This app is beautiful in it’s simplicity.

It has been wonderful to be able to listen to the bible being read each day and sense the faith and conviction of the reader.

Was given the Bible in One Year (red book) by my daughter and I can honestly say it’s the best daily reading plan I have done. Daily teaching from the OT and NT tied together with a connecting theme. The commentary is excellent and has drawn me into deeper fellowship with God. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have been doing the Bible in One Year with Nicky Gumbel in YouVersion for years so we decided to try the new app. It’s the same devotional commentary, which Nicky keeps updated but the format is different. There are 3 options within the app and I decided to do the youth version for something different. It adds in a short intro and outro by Toby (?) as well as the Bible readings being read by Toby. If you don’t enjoy a Kiwi accent, this isn’t for you but I like the addition. I like that the Bible passages are read before the commentary, unlike YouVersion when they are all at the end and often seem disconnected and somewhat random. What I miss is having the opportunity to write my own insights at the end. Of course I could do that in a book but I like the option to do it online. I’ve also not had success sharing the app with others from within the app. I click the link but nothing happens. If you’re a fan of Alpha and enjoy Nicky’s stories and passionate teaching, you’ll enjoy this app. Of course I also appreciate Pippa’s honest comments. She often says just what I’m thinking!

This is a wonderful app - the Bible in one year is the perfect way to explore God's Word. I 100% recommend you to download it and use it.
