"When Isaac’s mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement, where he faces droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears and eventually his mother.

Be _very_ warned
This game has no butterflies, no fairies and isn't cute. To be precise, it is the complete opposite. It is.. unpleasant, poo and entrails fill your screen (thankfully of a cartoonish nature) and has a disturbing subject matter. However, if you can literally stomach it, it proves to be rewarding, offering a deep and challenging experience. I would recommend that, before buying it, you check some YouTube videos of the game in action. The fact that Apple (finally and appropriately) allowed this to be released on the App Store speaks volumes to how the latter has matured.
