The Ensign FAQ
Is The Ensign free?
The Ensign is not free (it costs 1.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is The Ensign legit?
✅ The The Ensign app appears to be high-quality and legitimate. Users are very satisfied.
This game is great, however, there is a bug in the game which causes the game to restart the whole thing over every time you close the app and then open it again. As you can imagine, this is slightly frustrating since I made a lot of progress and then lost it all again. I hope you are reading this. Other than that this is an amazing game and you should all try it.
Very engaging-be willing to push through
Great game but you have to push through a tough start
Great fun … eventually
Don’t give up. Really rewards repeated play. Take a break if you get frustrated (I did many many times) but you will make progress. You’ll find yourself wanting to 100% it after refusing food in the end.

The sequel/prequel
And again it’s just...
AMAZING!!
Far too hard
So hard to keep going and not die ... nigh on impossible .. it’s too frustrating for me .
Challenging but fun
Like many here I died countless times but kept playing until I eventually got to the end. It's remarkably rewarding despite the difficulty, similar to Dark Souls I suppose.
Deep and challenging
Don't be put off by the the first 1 hour of game play. Persistence is rewarded
The view from the top is amazing.
Hard game to start with, but if you stick with it it's amazing when you Finnish. Loved a dark room, like this as well. Great game! Take the challenge
Excellent
This game is great. Frustrating, but still awesome
Dark Souls level of genius
Simple, difficult, rewarding. If you continue to die, keep trying.
With more story elements and a harsher beginning than a dark room, it's harder to get into but amazing when you do.
