Alone on a remote island stands a weathered castle. For years it has lain dormant yet still the townspeople recall old stories of restless dreams, violent storms, and the eerie glow of ghostly lights dancing in the mist. Recently, a mysterious signal has begun broadcasting from within the abandoned halls. Something inside the castle has awoken, now someone needs to venture inside to discover the truth.

Det är ett ganska långtråkigt spel och det finns inga ledtrådar.

Beautiful game

If you liked Myst, The Room or House of Da Vinci, you’ll love this. Gorgeous, realistic environments. Your job of investigating an old, abandoned castle is atmospheric and imaginative. There are rooms, halls, stairs, secret doors and passages, attics, cellars and towers to explore, just as there should be. There’s a story to unfold and an objective to reach, which I think is satisfying. The puzzles are enjoyable and make sense within the story, except they do get too difficult towards the end of the game. If you have a chance, try to play this (or come back to it) around Halloween. Some great extras appear in the game around that time!

Du skickas till ett övergivet slott på en ö. Det är en sändare som står på i slottet och stör telefon- och radionätet. Ditt uppdrag är att hitta sändaren och stänga av den. Men när du kommer dit undrar du om det verkligen är övergivet. Åtminstone har någon bott här för inte så länge sedan. Du hittar en massa anteckningar och föremål som tyder på att ett forskningsprojekt pågått. Och om inte annat så finns spökena kvar - eller vad nu de flygande ljusen är för något. Du följer ledtrådarna för att försöka förstå vad som hänt, vad som händer och vad som kommer att hända. Väldigt välgjort och komplext äventyrsspel. I samma kategori som Myst, The Room och House of daVinci. Det finns en utvecklad story i botten som blir tydligare allteftersom och sedan är det en massa klurigheter som kräver att du är uppmärksam och ser dig om - och inte minst ser upp, i dubbel bemärkelse. Spelet är också rejält instruktivt och pedagogiskt i sin uppbyggnad: du lär dig att undersöka nya ställen när du kommer till ett nytt kapitel. De collectibles du samlar på dig har en funktion för att du ska kunna avsluta spelet.
