Good resource for news
The local is fun and useful for Swedish news in English. Good variety of stories, great writing and good podcast too.
Never answers feedback. No dark mode.
No dark mode so hard on the eyes. They ask for suggestions but never replay. Also my own public comments are never posted.
Worst Sign In on Internet
What sort of idiots set this site up? Even their links to reset password do not work. Just what is going on? Even their name is not thelocal, it had in the past come up Under tiny pass. But now I do not know. This is a very poorly run website and I will not recommend it to anyone. Be aware you will have issues.
Restricted to one country now
This app was far more useful before the update. As a paying member I now have to choose only one default country for news. If I want to switch to news for another country I have to login again each time. I don’t want to be forced to deal with that paywall. That’s why I pay for a membership.
Fantastic update
The new app is fully functional! So much better than the previous one! They did a first-rate update from top to bottom!
“Sign Out” banner blocks access to more articles
For at least a year now the app has had a “Sign Out” banner (why is this at the top of the main screen? it’s already available from the menu button) that is blocking the link to display more articles beyond just those on the main screen. It’s not possible to view any articles beyond the 6 - 8 on the main screen.
Fix the login loop
As people have been screaming for more than a year, FIX THE LOGIN LOOP.

Terrible!
I agree with the other user- great content if you can get it- but I almost never can… it continually logs you out and then tries to sell you a subscription-which you have already paid for! I have contacted the helpdesk twice and they do not even respond. Why don’t they cancel their IT guys and get someone who can do the job? This is not a small paper. I have several new subscriptions and I never had this problem with any of them. Very disappointing as I will be canceling my subscription as well.
