Is The Melt legit?
🤔 The The Melt app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I am a huge macaroni and cheese lover and I was so excited to try the Melty Mac but I have to say I am never order it again. There was hardly any cheese (plus the cheese that was in there was watery) and the toasted breadcrumbs turned into mush within 3 minutes of eating the Melty Mac.
Love the new App and I Love The Melt!!!!
This app is such a big improvement. Once you get it downloaded and update your info it is great!
Lots of errors
Errors when switching locations, warnings when paying at checkout, no Apple Pay support, texts from multiple numbers, not enough modifier options. I like The Melt’s food but their app developer is not very good.
Patty Melts.
Finally a great late night place with great food. I always get the Parmesan garlic fries and love the Patty Melts with some fresh jalepeño peppers. Open till 2 in San Diego, unbelievable.
The point of an app is to make it easier
This app utterly fails. I can’t make an order and pay for it using the credit card I’m literally holding because that card has been used before somehow. But not in a way that links it to either email account I use. Literally no way to place an order and pay for it.
You may be open at 3am, but I won’t ever be back unless your operations start to actually operate.
Took ten attempts to get it to accept my card
This is not a review of the food or restaurant but of the app (Thanx). For some reason, it took a ton of attempts to get the app to accept one of my cards, and the UI does not do a good job of telling you what’s happening so I couldn’t diagnose it either. It wouldn’t accept my cvv or it was storing an old zip code but didn’t let me update it. I ultimately had to remove all saved cards, re add one of my cards, and even then the cart’s local storage had still stored the cvv input for a different card and I had to reenter that again.
But in the end, I got it to work and enjoyed a good meal. Still I’m sending a message to the Melt team to use a different app provider or invest a little more time into the implementation.
Bad Changes via Redesign
When they redesigned the app, they removed the ability to pay with Apple Pay, and on top of that the app saves your credit card to your account each time you place an order. You have to manually remove your credit card after each order you place. Previously, the app *asked* you if you wanted to do this, which I always declined because I do not trust third parties to save my sensitive information.
They have a new rewards system which is slightly better, but it does not make up for the fact that they’ve removed these privacy and security features.
Melt App
The app takes forever to set up and if you put in the wrong email you can’t log out until you reregister. Then you have to manually put in your credit card. Should use Apple Pay or Google pay.
No apple pay
Good app but does not allow apple pay. Kind defeats the point in my opinion
No improvement, maybe worse than last version
Lost the ability to sub sauces on sandwich, chips, and has an annoying process for reusing the same credit card.
