The Motley Fool Reviews

They want more after subscribing

Mike Harville on

United States

They really are greedy. You sign up for a yearly membership and think you’ll get all the recommendations. No. If you want the really “hot” stocks, you need to pay even more. One was over $700 to get. C’mon man. I wrote them complaining and they sent me a standard email back saying it was for people looking for specific areas of investing. Not renewing these greedy guys.

Problems with touch

MSASSN on

United States

I am having serious issues with the touch function. When I search for a stock and press the hyperlink to see information it will pop up another recommended stock. It’s very annoying. I have to press some 20 times before getting the information I am looking for. I am a premium subscriber and just looked at the apps ratings. How can fool survive such low ratings? Can you please improve ? Or is it an App Store problem ?

Scam

Taylor H M on

United States

They completely scammed me out of my money. They charged me twice for a yearly subscription and they said they would refund me - they never did. When I confronted them they said they could not refund me.

Smoke Sellers

Macarena’s Reincarnation on

The app is so basic and the information is presented shamefully. Free is much better

App not working

Nettie from earth on

United States

Today the app on my iPhone has been turning itself off immediately and it was working fine yesterday. I hope this problem resolves itself real soon!

Terrible app from a great company

Buddha 1453 on

United States

I’ve been with TMF for more than a decade and it has served me well. The long awaited app, however, is absolutely terrible. It’s poorly laid out and unintuitive to easily find your recommendations. It constantly forces you to log back in, instead of using biometrics like every modern app. I’m currently stuck in a loop where it will not log me in, take me to the webpage, which then takes me back to the app to log in again. It feels like they spent less on the app than I did for my TMF subscription.

Won’t work

HDHJR on

United States

iPad version is fine. iPhone gives errors when trying to open app

Warning! Down 50-90% on their recommendations.

ArthurVandalay on

United States

I’ve been a subscriber for over 15 years. The last several years I noticed a much more reckless attitude toward their recommendations. I have tried to cancel and be refunded but they said “NO”. Very disappointed and after losing over 100K due to my acting on their recommendations. Just stick with an S&P 500 index fund.

Constant Upselling and hard to cancel

Skyvalleymedic on

United States

I have been using this app for nearly a year and have been conversed by “offer” to buy expensive packages which I thought I had purchased with my $300 account. Trying to cancel the auto renewal is proving difficult as well. Steer away!

“Avoid nvidia like the plague” - motley fool, 2023

Total trash on

United States

You’d have to be an actual idiot to subscribe to a service that equated nvidia to the Black Death just prior to nvidia increasing in value by 300%+.
