This isn’t your typical workout app. It’s a blueprint and a community built to sustain progress, improve your health, inspire confidence, and develop strength by overcoming struggle. From the mind of Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Pump is the intersection of the latest in technology, timeless practices, and advice from the legendary fitness icon. For more than five decades, Arnold has led a fitness crusade worldwide to inspire millions to take the first step on their fitness journey. Now, for the first time, he's helping anyone with access to a phone by offering community support, life lessons, inspiration, and the best training plans designed for any goal. Whether you are lifting your first weight or competing in your first contest, have access to a full gym or just your body weight, The Pump is the positive corner of the internet where you can train your body and mind without worrying about negativity, trolling, or your data being sold to the highest bidder. When Arnold arrived in America in 1968, bodybuilders from the gym brought him dishes, furniture, and meals. Now he has created that camaraderie and support for his biggest fans. Train with Arnold and his friends, and get 1% better every day.

The pump app more than just your standard fitness app
I’ve been using the app for over a year now, and the changes I’ve seen in my fitness has been consistently good.
Arnold Adam and Daniel have created not just a great training tool, but truly a positive place to come, train.
The community is awesome and there’s a wealth of information in here that you’d be hard placed to find elsewhere.
So Good!
Absolutely love this app, the workouts and content! So positive and really motivating. Would really recommend to anyone.
The best fitness community ever!
The Pump is the only exercise plan I managed to stick with for more than 3 months now. It’s adaptable for different needs and fitness levels, it has an awesome supportive community of users, it has great no BS content based on scientific research and common sense. No magic pills or restricted diets here, no one-fits-all exercise plan, but a way to make it work for you in your particular situation. As a huge bonus, Arnold himself is actively working to make this community the best positive corner of the internet. As a huge fan, I couldn’t be happier!
I started my training from scratch after a few gym injuries over the years, and Pump allowed me to slowly build my strength without hurting myself again. I am getting stronger with every workout and I am competing against myself only.
Waste of Money
Paid for it - and they lock up all of the workout programs. If you’ve been using the gym for awhile and want something to help you get better, this IS NOT the app for you. I love Arnold but this app was a total waste of money.
Pretty Good App for Guys
I’ve used this app for about six months and I finished the Foundation Program and am working through another program which, overall, I really like. The app doesn’t allow for many modifications and you really have to do it the Arnold way or it’s the highway. I have a lot of experience in fitness, dance, and bodywork, and I know what’s better for my body than Arnold or his app guys. Even though the exercises are universal, the app just seems geared toward guys. It’s also a “transform your life” kind of thing and I don’t need to lose weight or learn to eat right because I’m at my goal weight and I know how to eat well. And as for the “village” thing and the social messaging aspect of the app, I’m not gonna read through 500 comments. Also, when you ask a question in the app, it rarely gets answered by the team. I’ll continue to use it for a while because I like the basic outlines of the workouts, but I’m not going to do an annual renew.
Good but unusable
Update -
I tried one more time to get into the app and realized not only is it bad for workouts, it’s also bad for my mental health- like so bad that trying to use this app made me want to self h6rm. This app will make you that crazy. Just don’t.

Update - this app’s big idea is instead of giving you options, Arnold will pick the absolute best program for you and you just simply stick to it. No choices to make, no wrong turns to slow you down. I started strong and for several weeks pushed and did it. Then I didn’t. See, the all or nothing attitude very quickly turns from ALL to NOTHING. because life is in the in between. So when I couldn’t keep up doing exactly what it said, the app no longer had anything useful to contribute. Unlike other coaches that can adjust. Very few people will be able to stick to the program as written, a more successful coaching app would adjust to your real life. — Original review: Excellent program, decent layout for tracking your workout, design is a little clunky but it works. Problem is it doesn’t calculate how much weight to lift. Which makes it pretty much useless. It’s not a complete program to just give exercises and sets and reps without saying how much to lift. You can’t execute. That said the program itself looks pretty good. But you can’t do the program without knowing how heavy the weights should be. And if the app isn’t supplying that, it’s not a true coach.
Good app but needs better user interface
One pet peeve I have with this app is when you forget to save the results from a prior workout, you have to submit before starting your new workout. The apps thinks your trying to do two workouts at once and then you can’t log you lifts until the next session and the problem snowballs.
Good for Beginners/Intermediates but not advanced
I like the apps concept and it’s an excellent tool for beginners and intermediates. I just wish the advanced level people could access all workout plans to match where they currently are instead of having to start out with a 3-day a week split for 90 days when they’re doing the Arnold classic split 6 days a week before they joined the app.
Great App & Community
I’ve been using this app well over a year now. My results have been wonderful. At 55, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life, have gained muscle mass, and I love how the app has taken the guesswork out of my workout. Arnold is personally involved in the community. This combined with Arnold’s free Pump Club podcast and newsletter has really shed light on my own health, both mental and physical. I used to hate going to the gym, now I love it. Pushing myself to always do a little better, as Arnold would say, “It’s fantastic.”
Amazingly well done!
Follow the plans here. They work. Great teaching videos.
