Better than Structured. I like it.
App can not be used for tracking daily activities, since the updating mechanism is unreliable and constantly loses information like when an activity was ended and even returns activities to undone status. Because of bad user interface, reusing activities is also needlesly difficult: There is no option to save activities for reuse in categorized form, so if you want to reuse activity you have to search them manually or make new one every time. On top of this, the app constantly pushes adds for its own events and ”content”, even when you have turned off notifications for everything else expect beginning and ending of tasks. And this with Premium subscription.
I’m still looking for an app that would allow me to have notes and to do lists and daily tasks in one glance. I like color coding and tiimo has that function, which is good. Although I’d like to be able to choose whether I want just a notification of a task, and/or a timer as well. Right now I start to feel super bad about myself, if I’m not able to fulfill the task in the set time, which makes me paralyze even more. I like the visuality and the widgets, but would wish for more personalization or flexibility to make it match more to my specific needs. Love the fact that it’s made thinking of us with adhd. ❤️
Better than Schedule. I like it.
A task app that doesn’t even allow to add tasks, no error or messages given. The buttons just don’t work and the tasks don’t appear anywhere. No matter what you do. Also the UI is kinda terrible. Spend your money and time elsewhere.
tldr: my autism adhd brain likes tiimo, you should try it i think my favorite thing about tiimo is how visual it is! it’s way easier to comprehend everything i need to do when i can have little icons for every activity, i can color code everything and having a progress bar helps me understand how much time has gone way better :D i had my school schedule to tiimo through the default calendar app, and being able to see my schedule one class at a time made it so much simpler to figure out what i had next, and seeing the amount of time left of each lesson visually helped a lot too :D in general i love that tiimo will tell me how long is left of an activity or until an activity rather than show the starting and ending times only <3 i’ve been using tiimo for a bit over a year now and i’ve felt it’s worth the money the whole time, even when i haven’t necessarily been using it a lot. (tho it’s definitely more useful when you have school or work). i’ve used it as a calendar to mark every event i have, and i use it to block out specific things i want to get done each day (like showering, playing games or making art), but there’s so many ways to use it depending on what works for you. i do recommend reading some of the articles/guides they have for getting started with tiimo, since it can be a bit overwhelming to get used to otherwise (and difficult) it’s not a long read and it’s definitely worth it (from what i remember it wasn’t taht hard to read either). of course tiimo isn’t perfect, it can be a bit buggy and hard to use at times, but it’s the best time management/calendar system i’ve found, and i’ve tried a lot of them. it actually works for my brain! :DDD i wanna mention at the end that it won’t fix your life tho. as much as it helps me, i still struggle to actually do what i’ve planned and i sometimes forget to mark important events and thus forget their existence, tiimo just makes it easier for me to see my plans and events clearly, so i have less to keep up with in my head, you still need to put in the effort to actually use tiimo and do all the things <3
All together I love this App and it’s had major improvements over time. Really recommend anyone who struggles with organizing themselves to check it out. I had some problems with the App not working on my Apple Watch - but the team reached out to me and provided me with a temporary solution / unpublished fix. The communication was super easy, the staff friendly and it’s awesome that they care about their customers in that way.
For an app four years of age, Tiimo has some strange design decisions, mild performance issues, and bugs. New activities and routines sometimes don’t default to the day selected, but the one after. Many icons show duplicates in search. There is a lack of control over overdue activities, which can’t be completed without moving them to the current day, and don’t allow adjustment of start time after starting. Still, Tiimo shows potential as a clean and minimalist approach to time management, and does enough things differently to eventually stand out if polished.
let me just tap an upcoming activity to start it early, why do I have to take my finger around the whole entire wheel?? it doesn’t even work properly half the time, I’ve given up on even trying to finish or start activities early because it’s so annoying. let me just type in the starting time instead of using the other infuriating wheel every time while we’re at that, let me schedule things by ENDING TIME! streamline icon selection for new activities, currently you need three taps just to select an icon I struggle a lot with understanding the passage of time and doing things in a timely manner, like getting to work in time. Before this app I was always in a hurry in the mornings and every evening struggled to figure out what time I need to go to bed to get a full 8 hours of sleep with my irregular working schedule. Tiimo has made those things SO much easier and I love the app for that. It tells me what I need to be doing and how much time I have left to do it, which is immensely helpful for me. Once a week I look at my next week’s working schedule and set up my morning and evening routines according to those times, and I don’t need to worry about the clock at all in the mornings and evenings anymore. However, the app is annoyingly difficult to use for someone with difficulties understanding the clock and time, especially considering it’s supposed to be made exactly for people like me. It doesn’t show me an analog clock ever and doesn’t give me an option to change that (my brains don’t process digital clocks very well). I have to have a different app open alongside it with an analog clock on it to help with setting up my routines. Even more importantly, the app shows me how long my routine is but expects me to figure out the STARTING time instead of just letting me type in the time when I need to be finished and calculating the starting time from that. This leads to even more struggles, frustration, and just scrolling the time wheel up and down while looking at the ending time to find out when I need to start the routine. Clearly the app already is capable of something like this as it automatically fills in the ending time when I set up a starting time, so I have no idea why it doesn’t do the opposite. I love the idea of the app and it has genuinely been very helpful for me, but I don’t think I can stick to it long term unless the whole process of adding and scheduling things is streamlined a lot. Let me just tap and type things, don’t expect me to h
