I find this app an improvement over the toggl app, because the app is set-up different it does not feel intuitive. However that is a minor complaint. Therefore I still use the webbased toggl when creating exports of pdf.
Timery is the best Toggle client I've tried so far. I like it enough to spent money on it. Perfect it is not though, mainly because the whole application becomes useless when Toggle servers are down (which happens quite often) or when I'm offline. Surely the Toggle data model isn't so complicated that it would be impossible to start a timer locally and sync it with the server later. I wouldn't mind having some data conflicts if that would mean I could start a timer without having to wait multiple seconds for the server to respond.
I really like how this app builds on top of the Toggle API. It’s works better for my needs than the official app. It has many subtle tweaks throughout the app and its widget that make it a must for any serious time tracking use cases. However I can’t give it more than 3 stars at this time due to how the app becomes completely understandable when there’s a networking problem (eg. internet is down or something is wrong at Toggle’s end). I can’t stop or start any timers when this happens. And that’s much more often than you might think. I would expect an app like this to be able to start or stop timers regardless of a connection to the server, only to sync in the background when a connection is established. If implementing that results in an occasional data merge conflict I’m willing to deal with that, just so I never have to deal with spinners and “reload or logout”-dialogs again.
Works pretty well, but shortcuts are unreliable and the mac app is not very good.
Timery is what the Toggl app should have been in my opinion. It makes it so easy to manage time entries, projects, clients etc and puts exactly the projects I want under my fingertips in the widget. Killer feature, seriously. It removes almost all friction for succesfully building a habit of time tracking. Love this app.
GREAT!! 3 things:, slide right automatically run timer, Apple watch support and easier Siri shortcuts actions instead of Siri voice command. :)
I love Timery so much, I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed before. And btw - I detest pop-ups about reviewing *but!* this came up right after I’d finished tracking, not interrupting me in the middle of using the app. Rock solid, every option you could want (even on watchOS!), yet not cluttered or inscrutable. Updates often mean new features! *SO* worth the subscription too. 6/5 stars!
Timery is a great iOS app, but the Mac version really needs some work. It’s clear that it’s still essentually an iOS codebase that’s been ported, rather than a first class Mac app. Little things like the date and time inputs just don’t work the way a Mac app should, especially when trying to navigate with the keyboard.
