Time’s Up! is a fun, visual timer that you’ll actually want to use. Whether it’s for you, your kids, or someone else, Time’s Up! will make counting down much more engaging.
Timers can be used at work and at home, whether you’re making sure you take a break or telling kids it’s bedtime. Timers exist everywhere, but none of them are fun and visually appealing — and that can be important when you’re dealing with kids big and small! Time’s Up! has the features you need to make time fun again — try it for free, NO ADS.
Time’s Up! isn’t just for kids and workaholics, though. The possibilities are endless:
• Adults who need to set timers to stop them from working for too long without a break.
• Kids who don’t want to do their homework but can be convinced to work in smaller chunks.
• Setting reading or other activity timers before bed time.
• Helping bigger kids focus on an activity for a set amount of time.
• Setting timers for exercises — put Time’s Up! on your TV screen using AirPlay and turn a timer into the focal point for your exercise group.
• Anything that’s based on a specific amount of time!
What makes a timer fun? Time’s Up! has 5 fun styles to choose from, including:
• “Reveal” a photo from your Photo Library as the seconds tick down.
• “Pixelate” makes a photo more clear as a timer gets closer to completion.
• “Puzzle” breaks a photo into jigsaw puzzle pieces and then puts the pieces into their places as time progresses.
Alternatively, there are more traditional clock faces if you just want a simple timer. Timers can be customized with their own alert sound and color, too.
Other key features include:
• Sync your timers between iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV using iCloud.
• See your timers on your Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and Apple Watch with Live Activities (requires iOS 18).
• Guided Access to prevent kids from switching apps and changing timers, making sure only you have the power to control time.
• Airplay and tvOS support so you can put a timer up on a TV screen.
• Get audio updates each minute or countdown the last 10 seconds.
• On macOS, you can float the timer window above other apps so it’s always visible.
Time’s Up! is a free download with a simple one-time purchase that unlocks the ability to run an unlimited number of timers.

What’s the difference between “Time’s Up! — Visual Timer” and “Time’s Up! Timer (VPP)”?
You are looking at the free-to-download version of Time’s Up! that lets you try the app five times before upgrading via in-app purchase. “Time’s Up! Timer (VPP)” is the same app but available paid-upfront with no limits in the app itself. “Time’s Up! Timer (VPP)” exists so educators can purchase the app through Apple’s Volume Purchase Program (VPP) for Education.

Time’s Up! FAQ
Is Time’s Up! free?
Yes, Time’s Up! is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Time’s Up! legit?
✅ The Time’s Up! app appears to be high-quality and legitimate. Users are very satisfied.
I work with young adults who have autism and this has really been a life saver as the kids I work with do not have any sense of time and they ask me all day long (often every 2 or 3 minutes) if it is time to go somewhere. I can show them the timer and that solves the problem. I love it that you can put in whatever picture you want. So if a friend is coming over I can add a picture of the friend. Or I can add a picture of her favorite animal.
“NO ADS!” Also Can you “lock” the timer buttons?
Last Edit
Definitely try to put childproof touch on the app settings a “set it and forget” option
Just found you have to activate “guided access” every time you want to use that feature
For spur of the moment timers (like ocd, adhd, mentally challenged outburst, or kids that are loud enough to drown out siri requests to turn on the feature kills the momentum
I tested all the main timer apps and the ONLY thing stopping this app from being a huge competitor and in my opinion, the best timer app, is a dedicated setting for prevent timer touch after start (childproof) with a setting that will keep that feature on forever unless you change it
Also as stated below mention the no ads to get people to know it right up front
Excellent app
————————————————————————
EDIT-App needs to clearly state that it has no ads AND you can “childproof” the buttons to prevent accidental touches Also if yyou can make childproof touch a setting IN the app it would be much easier to set that up Most people will not find that information easily after initial app opening and may not buy simply because of that. Excellent app. Just need to make it obvious on the App Store and In App that it has NO ADS and You can childproof the buttons. Well done great app. ———————————————————————— Excellent app I don't leave reviews posted To the developer- Great job, this is perfect for my special needs sister who cannot handle not knowing how long it takes for time to pass You NEED to mention front and center on this App Store page that there are no ads I almost held off on buying the full version because I couldn’t find out if there were ads even with the paid version It says it buried in the App Store description People want the free version or paid are much more likely to use/pay for premium if they know from the start that there are no ads Great job this app is excellent and the settings cover any quirks or preferences the “timee” may require This app certainly will make my sister’s life better I don’t leave reviews posted so i’ll delete this in the next few days Just needed to let you know to mention the NO ADS thing right up front on the App Store and App and that you made an excellent app -Dino
simple, intuitive
not a task tracking system, which I don’t need. just a circle with a moving wedge and a tiny digital clock off to the side. I’m a neurodivergent that hates using a digital clock to figure out how much time is passing, and hates visually registering where clock arms are on the face. this app gives me a 60 minute clock face on which a certain size wedge always represents a certain number of minutes no matter how much time I want to measure. other visual timers I tried use the full clock face to represent the amount of time being measured. so the size of the wedge varies with however much time I am measuring. having a consistent visual representation for the same amount of time helps me both track time as it’s passing and learn how much time something really takes. 😀
So glad I went with this app
I was looking into buying a physical visual timer online and then the idea to see if they made an app was available. I am so glad I did. I was nervous to buy one because of the reviews online saying theirs broke after a couple of months.
This will help me improve my time-management skills profoundly. I plan to use this at home and work! And for a fraction of the cost of a physical one.
Thank you for creating this!
Kids love it
Easy to use. Fun to use for tooth brushing or waiting for the food to get cooked.
A fun and practical timer
Yes there is a timer on iPhones already, but this one is fun, allows multiple set timers to jump straight to, and helps me “get things done.” Highly recommended.
Awesome App
I've been using the "pomodoro" method for a while to stay focused on my work. I'm so glad I found this app. It's very well designed and well-worth the price for the "unlimited" full version. I love how it syncs everything across Mac and iOS. It is made with a very close attention to detail.
Also, I emailed support a question about the Mac icon, and the developer wrote me personally to explain why there's no option to natively change the icon on Mac. But he also went the extra mile to tell me how to set up my own custom icon, which looks great. Buy the app!
Great timer
I would give it 5 stars if I could manually choose the duration of time.. instead of just 60' or 120"
Perfect visual timer!
I’m an adult using this app to focus my work time and lessen my distractions. I LOVE the way you can customize it. That was missing from all the other visual timer apps I looked at. I was happy to pay the one-time fee to upgrade. It’s a very reasonable amount and I’m thrilled to support an individual’s hard work!
The timer looks great, but it needs more options
I would like to customize the timer further. I don't want to wait until the last 5 seconds to hear a chime. I also don't want annoying repetitve announcements for a full minute. I'd like to be able to choose how many bells I hear, at the increments that I want... (ie one bell every 10 mins, if I set an hour timer). Or I'd like an auto repeat option that I don' thave to manually reset (repeating the timer cycle every hour by itself). Great timer but would appreciate some updated options. Thansk a bunch
