You need to have a reset instead of scamming people for missed orders, maybe only $5 but I’m not losing that regardless, getting my money back or getting a new free order SO CHEAP taking money!!

Such a great app to use and my hope is that it will draw some of the bigger stores into a system of recovering food that would be lost is this app didn’t exist!
There are some good places to buy from, which is the only positive thing. The bad locations / purchases, cost you money without getting anything positive. Worse is that many times locations aren’t even opened, even though a purchase is available and made. TooGoodToGo, as per the majority of all compagnies out there, don’t care about clientele and only about profits. One example of a few, was when I had started my vehicle 3 times (10 min per start via the app) as minus 25 outside, then took a good 15 additional minutes to take all the snow off my vehicle / ice off the windows and drove to not one, but the two locations which offered food and that I had purchased. Both, were closed. And of course, all TooGoodToGo did was state that as I had not confirmed food reception on their app, that my purchases were not charged to my credit card. Conclusion : Don’t expect any type of responsibly / basic respect. In my one example of a few of these experiences, my time / money (gas, vehicle use, etc.), that I spent, was 100% gone.
Really happy to help restaurant and shops to avoid wasting food and to have opportunities to discover new food for less money
When you are ripped off by one of the restaurants they support, their customer service is nowhere to be found. Two weeks and still waiting even for a response. Don’t use Great Canadian Donair and Pizza in Edmonton!
i am giving 1 star simply for the fact that it’s been over a year since there was any response to any of your dissatisfied reviewers and so far i have only seen the same response repeatedly ´contact our customer service team’ even when the reviewer is saying that it’s the customer service team that they’re unhappy with - try showing people that they matter, that you have real humans who are engaging with us devs need to pay closer attention to the feedback from the users, some of the complaints and suggestions that are showing up repeatedly are totally legit so far, i have only attempted 4 surprise bags; 1 was perfect in a place with a great vibe and i would return there anytime, 1 was roughly the same dollar value as the regular price menu and not worth it, 1 convinced me to let them cancel the order and had me pay them in store instead but i am completely unsatisfied with the food quality or value for $, had a terrible vibe inside and was nothing like what i expected from their profile on the app and the last one well, that guy was verbally hostile and abusive - i ended up cancelling the order (this establishment was also not at all as expected based on the app profile) i will never return to either of these last two businesses again for any reason - i should mention that they both tried to fully dump all blame on the app but this is also not a cooperative or helpful position for them to take i got the impression that 3 of these businesses are just trying to pad their daily sales with no concern or interest at all in rescuing food, reducing hunger or conserving resources. in fact one of them told me to my face that if i didnt take the ´surprise bag’ that they would just sell it (not throw it away) - this does not sound at all like food rescuing. at least two of these businesses charged about the same (or more) or very slightly less than their regular menu price - as if this was just another regular price fast food order/pickup app but with old food product i love this movement and wish to contribute to making it the greatest it can be so i will send more of my constructive input directly to the developers’ website contact. communication methods between the app and -both- the users and the businesses needs to improve. we really do need to embrace the user’s feedback (and avoid leaning too much in favour of constantly increasing profits for the businesses that are supposedly acting ethically in good faith) as many reviewers here have stated is the c
Very amazing initiative so that the food doesn’t go waste. Just got a box from Metro Bakery that contained 4 chocolate croissants & 12 strawberry truffles. Kudos to people who started it, good luck!
In these times of u heard of i flation and economic war, this app is a saviour. So are the companies who use.
It was great when it started. However I think companies now abuse this app since they have customers buying. Metro was a go to for me- but now they've increased their pricing for insanely sub par goods (the last 2 fruit and veggie bags I got were 95% old mushrooms and nothing else.. No thanks). I just go purchase the discounted stuff myself now lol
Don’t bother if you’re trying to save on meet orders now. Dynamic prices ruined it. Value is based on retail prices not reduced price. You saved around 70% before, now it’s around 50%. You can get that price in the store and pick what you really wanted. It’s sad but greed always wins.
