ToonSquid

I’ve never written a review for any app but I really had to with ToonSquid. I’ve been using it for a few months and I cannot get enough. I highly recommend watching the YouTube tutorials before starting and then again once you’ve tried solving some problems yourself. I LOVE this app so much, it’s definitely the main reason I switch on my iPad everyday. Thank you ToonSquid team for creating something so great and so fun!

I LOVE toonsquid, since they fixed the audio bug i have no problems with it other than some weird quirks of the app.

It’s sad that this app isn’t talked enough about by artists, it’s so good and much better for beginners than procreate dreams ever was, it has everything you need in order to make your learning experience as smooth as possible and is so affordable it’s amazing thank you for creating this app

First of all, I like the option to keyframe, it’s really helpful when I don’t feel like doing it frame by frame. Additionally, the transformation hierarchy is very useful. What I’m more concerned about is how unintuitive certain features are. There’s no obvious way to switch between viewing in frames and seconds. Additionally, the fill bucket only works properly half the time (and as someone who primarily uses it to colour… I kinda hate that.

ToonSquid is a very good and powerful app! The vector brushes are absolutely beautiful! The fact how you can create your own brushes, whether they are vector or not, is just mind blowing! One more feature you should have is the option to skew your drawings, then ToonSquid would be an absolute powerhouse of an animation app!

I adore this app. I use it all the time, there are just features missing, Firstly, tweenable skewing, and not counting the thing wear you use a vector rectangle on a hierarchy. Secondly, a bone tool. To create more advanced skeletons on one layer rather than using hierarchy all the time. This could preferably work on raster and vector, so I could animate an image of a character And I’d also love better brushes. Cause for me the brushes sometimes don’t scale on vector or create fields where I can’t draw on raster, But overall great app, pls take my features into at least consideration tho. Otherwise 5/5

I have been singing the praises of Roughanimator for years, and still love that app, but after trying ToonSquid, I have to say this beats it for features and brushes, although I still slightly prefer RoughAnimator for control of the timeline frames. ToonSquid is very well thought out and deeper, and I know the next version is coming soon with loads of amazing features that will place it definitively at no1. My only gripe is having the time bar at the bottom rather than the top, where your hand doesn’t obscure it, but I’m getting used to that.

For a long time I’ve been using FlipaClip but they lack a lot of features that Toonsquid does not such as keyframing, good paintbrushes and much more! ToonSquid is worth it 100%.

I absolutely love this app. Was animating on flipaclip for 3 to 4 years and as soon as I bought this my animation was upgraded. It’s smoother, easier and has a lot more features than other apps. There is one feature that I see a lot, though, and this is being able to use keyframes on SYMBOLS!! This is a feature that I don’t imagine would be hard to implement, and over all would just be useful. An example would be, a talking mouth symbol, that would just talk over and over, that I would be able to keyframe to move WHILE it is talking. (If you know what I mean?) another cool thing with this would be being able to keyframe multiple layers at the same time (a still image layer and a symbol animation at the same time?) this would help with stuff like faces if I want movement and I don’t want it to be static. If this is added, I will 100% be changing my review to 5 stars! This is literally the last feature I need and then I’ll be able to do everything I want on this app. Thanks!

This app is awesome, defo the best 2d animation software on here! Just get it, ‘tis wicked!
