Trimlight Edge

Trimlight is the best permanent light on the market with their user friendly app. I like that it can be updated to new features.

This app doesn’t feel ready for prime time. After almost a year, including watching the tutorials multiple times and asking for help on the Facebook page, I’ve come to realize that almost everyone has the same issues and has had to either just deal with the issues or devise workarounds for things like: 1. Opening the app and having the default pattern turn on, despite other programs running with timers 2. The fact that the app defaults to manual when the app is opened, causing people to re-set up programs and timers 3. “Off” not really being off or keeping the timers off. 4. Etc. To top that off, the capabilities when it comes to setting up schedules and timers is not intuitive at all. Most apps, I can navigate around very adeptly in a matter of minutes. After almost a year of really trying, I still have issues with deleting patterns, getting timers to work correctly, setting up schedules, even with tutorials and Facebook Trimlight Community advice. This is clearly not just my issue, as many of the reviews mention the same issues, as do many of the comments my Facebook questions receive. I wish other apps would work with the system. We may be changing our system out to something else because this is just such a hot mess.

It’s been three days now that we’ve had the new lights installed. The app is lacking in many basic features first of all being if you go in manual mode and select an event that you’ve created. Exit back out and come back in the event is replaced by Canada Day. Same thing happens if you go into the settings feature switch from manual to off or manual to schedule exit back out come back in it’s back on manual. Same thing if you go in and create a new calendar event and you click on sunrise it changes the clock to 7:05 AM but if you click OK it doesn’t change the time from 12 o’clock to 7:05 AM. Actually, if you make a mistake on setting up a calendar event or schedule, there’s no way to go back and edit and correct it for example if I select Christmas theme from January December 1 to the 30th and I made a mistake I wanted it to go to the 31st there’s no way to edit it.

Easy to use app. Endless functions and customizations! Love the app! And I can control my lights from anywhere in the world with this!!!

I love our lights that we just got but the app is just not super functional or user friendly! The fact that it goes to a random setting when you just open the app is incredibly annoying. That functionality needs to be fixed

I’ve had my Trimlight for 2 years and the app has never given me a problem: Latest updates made it even better now that libraries are alphabetical and the Timer displays your date and time.

I love the app. It’s very user friendly and allows me to make basically any combination that I could dream up!

Love my Trimlights! APP is user friendly and I would highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a permanent lighting system.

I find this app pretty easy to use to customize the lights, it’s pretty straightforward and there are videos online that go into deep detail if you don’t understand

I think the app is great. Easy to use and works with music.
