I get more spam going into this app than I do calling me.
Does not work
Never works. Extremely frustrating. I have a paid subscription yet the voice assistant does not pick up my calls and yes, it is enabled.
Don't bother. Useless app. Requires payment.
It was once a functioning app that did what it was designed for. Now when downloaded to a new device, payment is required to allow the app to identify phone numbers. In the call log it identifies the phone call as TrueCaller Premium Required. Get lost. What a joke of an app. Not even worth 1 star!!
Completely USELESS
Avoid wasting your time and giving your number to another spam/scam app
Doesn’t work for Optus Australia. Support defines new standard of inefficiency!
Doesn’t work for Optus Australia. Spent more than a month to and fro with Truecaller support who 1. Couldn’t solve the technical issues. 2. Took several days to respond. 3. Asked for information previously supplied. 4. Wouldn’t refund the two months of premium subscriptions - why should a user pay for something that doesn’t work? Hoping you don’t experience the same!
Uninstalled
Was a decent app powered by the users. Note for former users. If your phone is personal and you don’t have to worry about random callers not being in your phone book calling you. Then you just can switch on “silence unknown callers” and forget about them forever. If it is an important call then they have the option to leave a message. As for texts true caller is no different from Apple messages filtering unknown senders too

Didn’t work in Australia on Vodafone. Ended up deleting the app
Good app to block spammers
I have the free version of the app and I think it is good. I would opt for the premium version if the cost was half what it is now. I have given the 4 starting mainly because of the ads that pop up everytime I want to manually update the list. It is annoying and I have to attempt the update several times before it actually updates. I don’t remember a single on of the ads so I don’t see the point of shoving this down the throat of free users. Find another way to generate revenue!
Dodgy method of subscription
I hate these apps these days, they ask you for your details and make you fill out a bunch of questions takes about 10-15 or so min of your time and then at the end they tell you you will have to pay/subscribe to use the app. Why don’t they tell you that beforehand? Because they’re afraid you won’t purchase. And you feel more invested and worked up after they’ve dragged you thru a bunch of questions. Oh and don’t try tell us because you offer a 3 day or 1 week free trial that you are giving us the option to purchase because we all know in order to get that free trial we have to enter our bank details and you are just capitalising/banking on the fact that we have busy lives and will forget that we’ve subscribed to your app and we end up paying for it and it’s difficult to get a refund. I don’t subscribe/purchase whenever I experience this because it’s a dodgy way for an app or anyone to do business. Just tell the App Store or yourselves to give us the price situation before hand, at the beginning or before opening the app, from the very start. Or how about give an actual free trial of the app where we don’t have to give our bank details? Afraid you won’t make as many sales?… well I’d rather do business with upfront ethics than dodgy trickery
