I do not want large internet companies snooping my emails, schedules, and contacts. I do not subscribe to the “free” business models that make me the product. This is why I use tutanota. I like everything about it. I like that it had a desktop client, I like that it’s calendar works, and I like that the devs pushed a lot of improvements in 2022.

I’ve long been a graduate from mainstream apps like Gmail, Yahoomail, Facebook, Google and the likes. Many of them have so many security and privacy issues. They keep track of you and profile you every time you use their apps. They keep all data about you since the beginning in their databases forever. I found a home to this free, simple, private and secure email app. Eventhough you are subject to DoS/DDoS attacks by some nasty perpetrators you will still be my home email. Keep improving and developing Tutanota because you are giving a great service to a lot of people who want peace, security and privacy. Thank you and more power to Tutanota. I missed several critical emails because the app stopped notifications. I just realized it when the latest update reminded me to open the app.

I would like a way to filter my new incoming mail to a separate folder other than inbox so my reoccurring doesn’t pop up as priority

I have been using Tuta for years, and I used to love it. But for at least a month, I have been regularly losing server connection on both cell reception with my smart phone and wifi connection with my laptop. I have had emails bounce back to senders telling them my email address doesn't exist. I am in the midst of accepting a job offer and securing a new apartment, and it is imperative that emails from my new workplace and apartment arrive in my inbox and for me to be able to respond to them in a timely manner. I chose Tuta for its privacy and sustainability compared to other providers, and I want it to succeed and meet my needs. It is very inconvenient for me to change my email address to another provider and notify all my contacts. I want to be patient with whatever updates Tuta is making right now that are causing so many issues, but I'm about ready to switch to Proton Mail. I had to email my job explaining the server went down, and I may have missed an email. They're probably already thinking my email address looks funny and wondering who Tutanota is, and having to explain my server went down to my employer looks bad for me and for Tuta. And on top of that, Tuta just sent me an in app pop-up asking me to rate, and I couldn't even scroll down to select an option besides "I love it." I mistakenly pressed that option, and was so frustrated the app wasn't allowing me to scroll down to select another option. I couldn't even tell Tuta about the issues I'm having or that they're about to lose me as a customer!
