Tydlig is perfect for calculating everyday things like tips and discounts, showing the entire history and allowing you to change any number with instant updates. For deeper calculations real-time graphing is an excellent way to explore and visualize things like bank interest rates and trigonometric functions.

Features:

* Responsive results: Edit any number on the canvas and see all results update automatically. Let your calculator work for you, not the other way around.

* Linked numbers: With a result selected, press any operation to create a linked number below. Responsive results will cascade down these links.

* All history is stored on an infinite scrolling canvas. Drag numbers around and reuse them as you wish.

* Annotate any number with an attached text label, like a freestyle spreadsheet.

* Real-time graphing: Link numbers to a graph and any change to the expression will instantly update the graph. Perfect when trying to explore how functions work and behave.

* Use the Slider to tweak any number and see results and graphs update in real-time. Combined with the graph it is an excellent way to visualize and teach math. Tap the slider to toggle between discrete and continuous modes.

This is a wonderful app which revolutionizes calculations and helps you think out complex finances etc etc I love it a lot Please listen to your feedback though - everyone wants multiple worksheets/canvases to revisit and keep thinks organizes. I understand you might be aiming for simplicity and minimal UX but good UX requires you to listen to feedback. There is little to no excuse left at this point - I and many others want multiple canvases. PLEASE add this, I hate having to delete all my other calculations to start a new one. While you’re at it, I suggest a simple snap to grid/row/column feature to help clean up bigger things a bit. It can be as simple as dragging a number to another number and snapping it to within an ~8 pixel range on the X and Y axes.

I have never written an App Store review in 10+ years of iPod, iPad, and iPhone use, but this app got me off my backside to say WELL DONE! It does what it does flawlessly, and it does a hell of a lot. You’ll read a lot of “Yeah, but, if it only….” reviews about this app. Thing is, they’re not about THIS app but about some app that doesn’t exist. What this app does is nothing short of spectacular. It blows me out of my chair with what it does do, and do perfectly. It’s the calculator with the tape added — in itself a much needed innovation — but a “smart” tape, so to speak. Try this and I can virtually guarantee you’ll get rid of any other calculator software on jour device. I certainly have.

Well done except...

This is hands down the best calculator there is BUT it’s slightly infuriating that you can’t paste numbers into the calculator

Would be great to add text

Would be great to add text in between calculations, but not like a tag. Similar to how it would be to make notes on the paper, between calculations. Also, multiple worksheets would be nice.
