UDOT Traffic Reviews

Utah?

Pwecamp on

Every time I open the app, it’s zoomed out to show a map of the US. Ridiculous since it is a UDOT app. Why should I have to zoom in every time when obviously I’m interested in Utah traffic?

Data is there but app is unusable!

This maybe used to work better but something went wrong for UDOT. They have great data and a horrible interface. I don’t see the point of this app anymore so removed it.

Road work on Browse bridge

I have a question for you smart people. On one of the busiest weekends of the year in 104 degree weather the road crew decides to work on the underneath of the bridge? These people weren’t smart enough to put a cover to catch flying concrete fragments. There was approximately 30 people and their vehicles standing around and one guy using his hammer to brake concrete. I wasn’t born yesterday but these people were idiots, no one should be braking concrete without some way to keep it from hitting vehicles, you don’t shut down the freeway on a holiday week day, since we’re talking about smarts what happens to a vehicle sitting on a highway running with surface temperatures of around 150 degrees these intelligent people can’t understand why people are parking on the road side? Vehicles along with people heat up. You people need to work on your overpasses at night when traffic is at a minimum shut all but one lane down 20 miles back so that traffic can keep moving. How much schooling does a person need to have common sense ? How much schooling does a worker need to cover up so that vehicles aren’t peppered with flying debris.

No longer useful

This app used to be helpful, especially when checking for road closures in/out of Ogden Valley, since rock slides, accidents and avalanches can severely restrict travel here. Now every time you look at one camera, you have to exit the app entirely before you can look at anything else. The option to have the road closure explanations read aloud is pointless, and the AI effort is ridiculous (Weber Co. comes out as Webber Company? I’m just fine reading it myself, thanks.) Agree with other reviewers - I don’t need to see the entire US, then keep narrowing down to Wasatch Front, then Northern Utah, then keep moving in until I can see the county and then the actual area of interest. This version of the app is an unmitigated disaster.

This feels like a downgrade

I’ve been trying to give this new app time to fix the glitches. However after all this time it still isn’t working correctly on my iPhone. My husband is also having issues with the app on his android. As the old saying goes, maybe if something isn’t broke don’t fix it.

Horrible!

Done and won’t be back on

Why it was changed from a useful tool to a garbage app is beyond me. Done with this!

Has to force close to exit

While looking at cameras the x in the right corner will disappear and you can’t back out of the camera and have to force close the App .

This app is laughable

Whoever decided to change the app from the older version needs to be fired. This app is now horrible. Not worth the storage space on my phone. It’s not user friendly whatsoever. Will show roads as green even if there’s gridlock traffic.

Horrible changes

I’ve used the app occasionally to check road conditions. Imagine my surprise to find this terrible piece of junk had replaced the useful one. I’m sure this cost taxpayers a pretty penny for a useless piece of trash. Bring back the old one. I have now removed the app. I don’t want trackers I want info!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible!

Sherman magoo on

Why did they mess with the old app? That one at least had information, this has nothing! Bring back the old app!
