Ukulele by Yousician

Kinda disappointed as it started off well but when I want to play a different song it’s getting me to pay. There’s no free song apart from the ones they give you to start with. Sad.

I tried to tune my ukulele using the right string and it kept on saying that it was the wrong string

I’m just getting to the end or level 5 and woah its getting tricky now with the finger picking multiple strings lol. Still loving it though and I have skipped and learnt a few songs at a higher level - Country Rooooadddd take me homeeeeee, yee haaaaa. I bought a ukulele on the 27th Dec 2023 - after not picking up a stringed instrument for 20 years - wow it’s so brilliant I have already passed level 3 with all gold stars. The organised progression is brilliant. For everyone complaining the app forces you to pay up front annually, you just aren’t looking at the details properly. Yes it asks if you want to subscribe for a year, but then underneath it gives you other options to subscribe for a month or 3 months. As for people complaining about the price, it would be far more expensive to find a real life tutor or attend real life classes. I know because I have payed tutors to help with learning other instruments. You can easily pay £30 an hour or more! So £30 for three months using the app is amazing value for money.

At first I liked the app but when I got to level 2 it got way to fast and got me frustrated I hate the way the lesions jump from practice to chords to songs it made my confidence go down so mutch so I put the ukulele away it didn’t teach me anything I didn’t already know it took up lots of my time and now I’m mad at the app because it’s made me think I can’t play ukulele

It’s a really good app but almost everything is behind a pay wall,you get to do like 2 lessons before you have to pay for Premium so you can keep going

Been playing 4 months with other apps. Get this app few days ago. After 1 month of practicing but not learning with other apps it feels amazing to actually be challenged and to learn. More then just “ok these are chords I can play”. I feel like I am truly getting better and also getting a better understanding of the ukulele as an instrument. Thanks Updated: some download options would be great as I am learning while travelling. Internet is not always stable or even available. Also some ‘common’ songs like Over the Rainbow and others are not available. They would be great as this is the only app I have tried that shows the strumming patters. Some more of the learning/training songs in the various lessons chapters. Much more videos on techniques eg. How to move efficiently between tricky cord changes. Learning bad technique then needing to relearn is very annoying. I would wish for ‘more then you think needed’ correct technique videos. Imagine I am an idiot and need to see every little detail. If there are various techniques then show them all. Lastly an ‘ear training’ section would be great. Something to develop ability to hear and identify notes by ear. Thanks

It’s terrible you have to pay I didn’t it’s expensive,I’m stuck because you can’t go any further until you pay 💰 I’ll rate it 3 stars ⭐️ it’s ok and bad like really bad but it helped me

it’s a really nice app and is great for beginners! it’s not just for adults to , it’s for any age :) . 🐈‍⬛

Latest update removed shortcuts so i can't now restart (R), pause (Space) etc with my bluetooth keyboard nor bluetooth pedal. Also, game jerks now. Please improve chords la7 and E7 recognition - it is better but till recognition is better with a trum up than strum down on A7 and E7. One star for attention - will give more stars when you fix it.
