PLEASE DONT ABANDON — I’m still loving it

Benpegg on

United States

I’ve been using Unibox for years, it’s still my one and only email client for all of my accounts. It’s simple and powerful. The person centric email threading modernizes emailing to be more like standard messaging. Under the hood the view option, to select a person, and just see all the attachments is an incredible tool. My favorite tip to anyone: Buy Unibox even to use for this one trick. Rapidly delete hundreds of spam emails or junk by trashing or junking all the messages from one sender in one step. Or select multiple senders and delete thousands at a time. Whatever it lacks (in support of specialized features or a given email provider) can be accessed visiting the providers site, such as gmail. So I don’t take a star off for the simple interface or any lack of features. Plain and simple, Unibox has every feature you’ll absolutely need, and nothing at all that is less necessary which is why I love it. I also love that it’s footprint on my Mac Application support folder is much smaller than Mac’s mail.

Used to be great but it’s abandoned

Gramsterix on

United States

Unfortunately this app seems to be abandonware. It does not support 2FA which makes it pretty useless for Gmail now (the desktop version still works).

Abandoned App?

MES20874 on

United States

App has stopped sending - last update was 3 years ago - is it still supported by its developers?

Broken!

BAR112 on

United States

I tried it several years ago and just now--it's useless! Needs update for iOS17! I delete and delete and everything comes back again and again. Impossible and frustrating! It's a shame, because prior to 4 years ago, Unibox was an excellent app and such a great way to clean up my Inbox.

Can’t setup and email account

iMukilteo on

United States

I am unable to set up any email account. I keep getting mail server settings error the data cannot be read because it isn’t in the correct format. I have tried automatic, set up manual set up an even the Gmail set up. I have found no way of reaching support or emailing developer to see if they still support the app. Their Twitter account has not been updated in a few years.

Doesn’t work with Yahoo Mail

Novantico on

United States

Tried multiple times. Logged out and in manually on PC to confirm I had my credentials right. Tried manually configuring the account, nothing. It simply will not allow you to use a Yahoo account. Tried my Gmail and that worked. Don’t want the app for that though. Downloaded Chuck email. Looks great and worked immediately.

Pop3 support.

JosephAW on

United States

I host my own server on my intranet and I use a pop3 server and I’ve been using your app for years. Every so often I have to delete your app to free up over 7 GB of temporary data that never clears even when you reset the app. Today I uninstall the app and reinstalled it and I can’t seem to create a pop3 account, I remember I had trouble before but eventually it worked but now I can’t seem to get it to work, what am I doing wrong there’s no support email contact.

Wonderful Concept. Very Promising, but buggy scrolling

estoughton on

United States

Very Promising and a wonderful concept, but there is such buggy scrolling that makes it impossible to read many emails. If all you want to do is archive mail, this is a great app for it, but it is not stable enough for full-time use.

Good, but doesn’t support Advanced Protection

leif_nabil on

United States

Excellent app, however they don’t currently support Gmail accounts that have Advanced Protection enabled. Please take the steps to get the app approved with Google for Advanced Protection users.

Main email app

WB-Dallas on

United States

I'm downgrading my review from five stars to two, considering one. When re-installing, the iOS keyboard doesn't show to enter the account password. Account access from Unibox becomes impossible. This is a serious bug that fenders the app unusable. Please fix. Univox is my main email app. The threaded aspiration makes fast mail processing a reality.
