How big is a planet, compared to a human? And how small is an atom really? You can’t fully wrap your head around the scope of things by just reading about them – so this app lets you experience them in comparison to get a feeling for their true scale. By simply swiping you can zoom in and out all the way from the world of fundamental particles up to the largest stars at the edge of the observable universe.

Universe In a Nutshell is out of this world

You’ve got to love Kurzgesagt’s love and dedication to providing easy-to-understand explanations on YouTube to hard-to-comprehend subject matters. This app is no different - it’s wonderfully made, informative as ever, with lovely artwork, great ambient music and some tongue-in-cheek humor sprinkled over it. My 6-year old nor I can get enough of it. Highly recommended!

Idea!

Great app. Loving version 1.0 already! An ambitious but interesting suggestion/request: how cool would a “compare” function be? I could compare the size of the spider crab with the size of the Crab Nebula and you’d tell me how many quintillion spider crabs I can fit in a Crab Nebula.

So Excited!!!!

I know this is a wonderful app! But there is a minor problem regarding rather instant crashes on the iPhone 5S. I can’t wait until the bugs will be fixed and then I can enjoy the app with all of its glory!!!

5/5 - I’ve been following Kurzegesagt (In a Nutshell - YouTube channel) since the very beginning. And it is truly impressive how far they’ve come. The soundtrack is, as always, very impressive. Big shoutout to Epic Mountain. I love everything you guys/girls do. T h a n k y o u Victor
