Unreal Remote 2

Published by: Unreal Engine

Description

Unreal Remote allows you to quickly and easily test your mobile Unreal Engine 4 projects directly on your development computer!
Use this application alongside Unreal Engine to view and control the development project running on your computer using the actual touch and motion controls from your iOS device. This lets you quickly iterate on gameplay and input features while developing your Unreal Engine game.
Unreal Remote 2 can also be used with the "Virtual Camera" plugin (Unreal Engine 4.20 or higher) to add Virtual Camera functionality to your Unreal Engine Project.
Steps to use:
* Enable the "Remote Session" plugin in Unreal Editor (Requires Unreal Engine 4.20 or higher)
* Ensure your development computer and mobile device are on the same network
* Select "Play in New Viewport" in Unreal Editor
* Enter the IP address of your computer into the app and press Connect
The image from your editor preview will be shown on your iOS device and all touch input on the device will be processed by your Unreal project as normal touch input.

Пару минут работает стабильно, дальше появляются фризы, причем с каждой минутой они усиливаются. В конечном итоге тестировать становится невозможно. Тот же проект на андроиде работает стабильно.

Hi, developers! Great app, but iPhone is auto-locking while “shooting” and screen turning off, so could you implement “preventing to sleep” on feature to the next release?

NOT WORK ON UE 4.25/26

Good day! Unfortunately, this application does not show the image (No Signal) on the UE 4.25 version (the input works), and on the UE 4.26 version, the control does not work, but the picture is there. I am inclined to believe that the built-in Remote Session plug-in on UE4.25 does not want to work in the application, which is based on this application. It is noteworthy that using the UE4.26 version it works, but the ARKIT / LiveLink based control does not. I tried a fresh version on the 26th version of VCam - constant crashes within 2 minutes of use on IOS. IPad 8 (2020) ios 14.4. I would be grateful for any answer from the developers. This situation, having studied the forums of unreal, could not.

I’m not using the virtual camera, but I see that’s why a lot of people are giving the recent negative reviews so I can’t exactly speak for or against it in that regard. That being said, I use this to play test on my iPhone instead of having to build for Android (which takes too many minutes I’m willing to wait), and it’s fully responsive as if I built it out on there The preview auto-adjusts screen size, UI, and works perfectly 👌🏻

I have no UI when I enable the virtual camera…help

Please update-Virtual camera does not work anymore

I suspect the app needs to be updated on the iOS. It’s still a 2020 release. After one of the recent iOS 14 updates, the app no longer works properly with virtual camera in unreal 4.26. Screen on iOS device doesn’t progress past the connect screen and while there is some control with the virtual camera, you cannot change any settings and the location and rotation axis settings appear to be constantly changing. Cannot change lens, film back, etc etc Happens with iPad app version as well.
