Uxcel Go Reviews

The app is good!

The app is good but the subscription is way too expensive.

INTUITIVE AND PLAYFUL

Megha Panwar on

I have been using Uxcel since 3-4 months but I recently bought the pro subscription and I must say it’s all worth it. I really like the way the study material is shown in such a playful manner. The UI is neat yet colourful. I love the streak part. . It really encourages me to maintain it and study at least for 15 mins. Being a working professional it’s to difficult to study everyday. Looking forward to studying and learning as much as I can. Overall, it’s a 10/10 for self taught designers like me. ✨❤️

The subscriptions are too expensive as most of the students are going to use the app. There should be a discount for students.

Fun Learning

Learning UX is now fun. Missing those tests on mobile app though.

THE Best Learning Platform for Design!

Jinarma on

Uxcel is one of, if not, THE best learning platform for design. Be it product design, UX, UI, content writing! The have courses and lessons on absolutely everything that an aspiring designer might need and they are constantly adding new relevant stuff! I’ve been using their web platform for PC for a while now and I’m absolutely blown away by the interactive method pf teaching, their arcade section and assessments! Now coming to the app, they have kept the design extremely similar to their web version. Meaning it’s very intuitive to use and has the essentials i.e. learning sections designed very well. It doesn’t have the full functionality of the web version (arcade, assessments, skills web, etc.), but i assume that is something in the pipeline and being prepared for the next update. Talking of updates, i’ve actually felt the need for a text size toggle accessibility and a nod to their teaching, I’ve designed it and sent it to them to use if they so choose XD

A real resource

Often, learning tools don't give enough, barely touch the surface, or are very rudimentary. Not Uxcelpro. This app is a well-built library of all the information needed to learn UX/UI effectively. From the time of lessons to the quality and difficulty of the exams, arcades, leaderboards, projects, assessments, job boards, and certifications, everything is done just right. An example would be how lessons have videos attached to them to demonstrate an action, etc. Or how the leaderboards exist, yet they are not overpowered like Duolingo. Yeah, you can get to the successive league if you score x number of points, but we aren't going to harass you with that kind of vibe. The arcade games are a good challenge to test your skills and hone your design abilities. They get incrementally tricky as you go. For me, the most beneficial part of this app is that the exams are not so easy. They are worded in a way that enables you to think and actually know the concept instead of just recalling obvious words. I've had to redo certain lessons just to fully grasp the content. To me, that's a sign of a legitimate education platform. All I'm saying is that I am ten times more confident in my learning path with this resource gem. I don't use it as my primary education tool, but it easily can be used as so.

I love this app

As a junior UX designer it helps me freshen up on topics, test my knowledge and learn new tricks that help me in my work!

Blown away by the content

This app is setting me up for success designing my own app. I’ve been looking for the right UX/UI program for years and this beats everything.

Too buggy to rely on to promote yourself professionally

J Jones1234 on

I bought a year of this service to learn UX design. The content itself seems pretty good, though I haven’t done much at other places. The problem is that they made some change in the code for their site and now my profile “skill graph” is totally messed up. I basically cannot send potential employers and clients to my profile as it looks very unprofessional. They said they were working on it but nothing has happened for many weeks. I spent a ton of time on this and now I can’t even use it to promote myself and my work.
