Vacasa - Vacation Rentals

I have been going through Vacasa for years now . I travel several times a year with my grown kids, their Families and extended family and friends. We are always happy with our condos. They are always clean and have a lot of amenities! They are always in the locations we are traveling to. Once we had an issue where our paid condo was no longer available for some reason - Vacasa informed us quickly and offered us 3 other options and we picked an option that was more money than the original condo and there were no extra costs . Our vacation was not affected by this at all. I love the site also so easy to use . Love love love Vacasa!

We had a wonderful holiday weekend in this peaceful retreat. It felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle of the Triangle, and still close to the fun of Oak Island. Our kids had a great time. I took a Kayak out on the lake and saw beautiful wildlife. The community is growing and very friendly. Gene

A 650 dollar rental easily becomes a 1300 dollar rental. Crazy how legally a semi legitimate business can rob the common man like this.

My 2nd time to book this room with Vacsa & it's quick & easy. Love this condo. Brings the grandkids this time. Can't wait.

It is all about trust and I trust VACASA for accuracy in the description of the property and how they back up every rental with extremely professional service.

I was initially told I could check into my room early (1pm rather than 4pm). They ostensibly changed their mind the day of check-in, even though the room was clean. They give you no physical key. They email you a 10 digit passcode - or rather a four digit passcode just so you can be cleared to enter a subsequent 6 digit passcode for entry. Write down the gate code to avoid the context I ran into and they (Vacasa) will avoid getting on a phone call with you at all costs like they have an allergy to humans. They made me late for both a job interview (by telling me I could check in at 1pm and subsequently saying “we try but can’t promise” early check-ins before 4pm - despite having already ‘promised’ me), and late for a friends wedding. I ordered the Uber to my friends wedding and left my phone on the table so having no access to my email I didn’t have the 10 digit entry code and was locked out. All within 48 hours. The property quality and location was perfectly fine. The app overall feels like a first attempt at an automated/human labor-free profit model gone terribly wrong because you end up pretty sure they hate the customer. And they emailed me (I assume a robot) saying they ‘make check-in time clear’ and not addressing I was told an early check-in of 1pm instead of the standard 4pm was feasible before they backtracked the day of. The email asked me to revise my review so I’m obliging: it’s still a no.

5 hr+ drive, atleast 5 incorrect front door lock codes, and still waiting in the car for the POSSIBILITY that someone is coming with the correct key in 15-20 more minutes. With 3 HUNGRY babies that need to use the BATHROOM for OVER 1 HOUR…….. this is absolutely insane. Not even 1 apology from the company. No offers of reimbursement or compensation of any kind. Stay far far away from Vacasa!!! Will definitely be sharing this information.

Cleaning and another fees higher than booking price.

Buyer beware— don’t use this company!! They lie to get your money, and won’t post your review if they don’t like it. They cheated me & it’s been a couple weeks but I’m still fuming due to the lack of concern (obviously I’m not the first they’ve intentionally tricked like this).
