Poor User Experience

Terrible compared to other scooter/ebike apps. First, I had to deposit $10 rather than just pay what I owe. That really annoyed me - what if I only use one ride - then do I get ripped off for the rest I deposited? My bike’s brakes were extremely squeaky and the bike itself had a horribly annoying start-up/ending jingle.

Battery life on the e scooters

The percentage on the e scooter isn’t accurate. The percentage can be 65% and i will ride 4 blocks and i have change scooters to continue to my destination. To do that is frustrating at times. But Overall i love the e scooters but it’s just those situations that bother me.

So much fun

Beware, the app always bills you in $10 increments. Any unused money will stay with the company. They do not allow you to refund it.

Take an uber, cheaper & safer.

My wife and I took this veo bikes for a quick ride to get to a sight less then 6 miles. The price on Google maps said it will be 8 to 10 dollars per person if taking a scouter or bike. So we did. The price end up to be two times that and more expensive then an uber and less safer. I do not recommend this mode of travel.

Super expensive

This thing came to Jamaica, NYC. I thought it would be great but far from it. First, you can’t use it with your Apple Pay, you have to deposit. Second, they don’t accept debit cards, saying zip code was wrong. Third, it is super expensive, 4.75 in 3 minutes. Fourth, it maxes at 15MPH… and battery dies in the middle of nowhere…. Never using again!

pretty good but some flaws

I use this to commute about 1/2 mile to and from work each day. The good - the scooters are new, clean and in pretty good condition. The value is good, especially if you do the monthly subscription and use it a lot. Their customer service actually answers the phone with a human being and promptly addressed the one time i had a problem (I once forgot to end a ride and got charged for 5 hours 😬) The bad - the throttle lever on many Veo scooters often sticks in the full go position, which is dangerous. The gps is imprecise, not only are scooters on the map often not displayed in the proper location, but worse is you sometimes can’t end ride because it thinks you are on the wrong side of a geo fence when, in fact, you are not. helpful hint - if you can’t find the scooter you see on the map (see gps imprecision, above), you can use the app to make the intended scooter beep horn or flash lights to help you find it. good luck - w
