Vipps

Please find a way to allow foreign travellers to also have the benefit of using this widely-spread platform to pay for stays at bobilparks, to pay for apples or whatever along the road.

Vipps can only be used by Norwegians yet is used in many touristic places, sometimes as the only option. It's amazing how the Norwegian culture seems so open and friendly, yet this payment system is allowed to operate.

Lot of parking places nearby great hikes can only be paid by Vipps, but only Norwegian people can create an account. This is not fair!

Will this app remain only for Norwegians? Foreign visitors do not have a D number. Still this app is used for paying private parkings and roads. I would suggest the owners to switch to Ideal if they want to receive payments from tourists aswel. On the other hand it is strange this app does not fix the only for Norwegians remark left here two year’s ago.. I will stick to finding a cash machine (which are hard to find in Norway) and leave an envelope..

Does not work if you don’t have a D-registration number. The app is in English, but does not explain what it is or where to get one. As a tourist, you can pretty much forget to pay for basic services such as toll road access.
